First year of the fleetside, last of the Cameo. The 58 Cameo had the most chrome and stainless of all four years. Some don't like the quad headlights as much but I do like the bling.

Here's a few pics of the body work on a very rusty cab. A truck that spent 20 years in a field... floor pans, cab corners, inner cab corners, step pans, rockers, kick panels and 2 hinge pockets were all replaced or patched. Whew!

The "Puff" is a 1948 custom cab that I build in the late 70's. A cammed up 235 six with offy ad-ons and a 4-speed granny got me through 20 years of driving. Drove it to Cali one summer in the 80's to play beach volleyball and see the coast. We've shared lots of miles, many trips and lots of stories.
About 20 years ago the Puff was my only vehicle when I met my wife Kim and we bought the Sinclair Station where we lived for quite a while. Unfortunately the Puff was retired to yard art and became our Christmas tree stand that we displayed out on the corner. The Puff was an actor in several TV commercials as well as backdrop for lots of graduation photo shoots but the years were not kind on her and the neglect was all my fault. After 40 years of ownership and several failed attempts to sell her, I never did, till now.
A guy named Phil bought the Puff when he drove by and saw her. He opted for Tuba to rebuild her as a street rod with all the street rod stuff. Mustang 2, power rack and pinion, posi 4 link, horsepower and overdrive, all the stuff...
So here we go.

How awesome to see the gas station, which I see somewhat as a home away from home, in America, when you bought it.

You and Kim have done an incredible amount of work there over the years.

Sorry to see your child go, but we know life will always balance things in the end.

We're working on a 63 short fleet for a great guy who is really into his hotrod truck, always love an actively involved customer. This truck is a 5-3 static drop with power disc and 12 bolt posi. The engine is a Corvette Ram Jet and the trans is a 4L60E. Powder coated chassis and all new paint in one of the more popular color combo of the time, baby blue and classic white.

Looks good Clem. What is the color cod you used on the '63 for the interior? Pictures make it look real close to the original Fawn.

The color is sunlit sandstone beige ( F5285 ID ) in Nason single stage with a
1 to 1 mix of matting agent.

The Tuba Trucks Team has been working on this 1966 Chevy longbed for a nice guy that intends to make it a daily driver. He commutes to Little Rock often and needed a dependable and comfortable classic with air conditioning and a great sound system. The 350 - 350 combo with a 3:23 rearend gear makes dependable highway driving happen.Vintage Air and Bluetooth plus a Classic Instruments cluster and deluxe steering wheel brings in the creature comforts. When finished we really hope he loves his truck and drives the wheels off of it. You go Dale...

Awesome trucks, Clem... Great attention to detail. better than new, what are you guys using for cab floor treatment. Matte finish looks like tinted Raptor Liner.

Thank you sir. You are right, we are using GatorGuard, much like Raptor or Rhino just much less expensive. We use it on top and underneath the floors, inside fenders and inner fenders, everywhere we can. We mix it thin with a little lacquer thinner and spray at 60 psi to get a finer pattern. Then it's topcoated with enamel paint.

Great results with Gator gaurd. I use Raptor for undercoating,.....tinted Raptor with extra urethane paint almost 50%. and reducer....Spray top of dash over epoxy primer and on plastic parts over adhesion promoter....Not up to your level. But I keep trying to make them nicer...Cheers .Ed

Recently we've been working on a patina/fauxtina combo. It's a 63 GMC longbed custom cab with the big back window. The picture showing the back of the cab and the firewall are the only places where we worked the paint. Lots of work yet to do. The drivetrain is a 300 horse 350 and turbo 400 with a 3:73 posi rear.

I still have them, 2 of them plus a complete 3/4 chassis that the body originally came on.

Occasionally a really unique and rare truck passes through our gates and this is one of those times. A 1945 Diamond T model 201. It is styled after the bigger semi-trucks such that the top appears to be chopped and the wheels look just like semi-truck wheels. This beast has zero creature comforts and rides rough as a cob. Check out the beer keg gas tank and strange rocket ship turn signals. The owner wants this truck brought back to how their grandfather had it back in the day when he terrorized the countryside... and that is our quest

Just over a year ago we started on a 66 GMC carryall. A friend from Missouri brought us the project which he and his wife have owned for quite a while. From the previous paint colors we believe the GMC was originally a school bus and then became a service vehicle for an electrical company. The first picture given us by the owners shows why there was so much repair to the body especially the top. "If there's not a ladder handy, just stand on the roof." This truck was a tool.
After tearing it down to the frame the carryall chassis was sent to the powder coaters. We converted the leaf spring rear suspension to a Chevy coil spring system to even out the ride. We overhauled a 95 throttle body 350 and 4L60E and added 355:1 posi rear gears. The dash was altered for a modern nav' system and we are now in the assembly phase. The firewall was painted body color so we could bolt the beast to the frame making final door gaps and alignment possible. There is still a lot to do but we're on it.
