Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
50 something here today. Cleaned a bunch of moldy hay out of the barn and dumped it out on some fallow ground.
Rode my horse bareback around the arena for a few minutes. |

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Nothing but SNOW. I plow my driveway with a quad and a 4 foot snow plow. I went out 4 times yesterday to try to keep up. There was about 6 more inches this morning on the ground and the snow changed to wet and heavy. I'm pretty sore today. I'm getting too old for the quad. I think it's time to either hire someone or put a plow on my truck. We got about 19" total with this storm.

I wouldn't make it up north ya'll.
As of today, our tv meteorologist said it has been 1,112 days since we had more than 1" accumulation in central Arkansas. And I'm ok with that. |
Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Can’t ski on that and u can’t stick beer in that to keep it cold
|
Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Yeah, winter is great. You can just keep beer in the bed in a box, no cooler, always cold. You don't have to make buying ice cream your last stop before rushing home. No bugs. And when it snows for days you can just hang around eating being lazy and not have to explain yourself.

Finally got back to Liberty SC and all my parts where here. I got the hub cap fixed on the Impala and I even got the rear view mirror mod finished up. The mirror has home link, temperature & compass in it. I can open the garage door with a touch of my finger. I can see the temperature and know which way I'm head all in a glance. You can barely see the wires.:chevy:

He built two or three little cabins and lived up there with his native wife. They only had to cut wood just to cook. The hot springs heated the cabins. They could go ski or dogsled and then jump in the warm pool and watch the northern lights. :) I guess now there's a damn national park and a resort up there :( |

The reservoir was built in the 1930s. The road was dirt from about Almont onward. Just one lane most places. Around the dam it was very narrow with a few pull outs for passing. It was that way until I think the spring of 1977* when the county widened it out in a few places. Then in the mid-1980s they blasted it all out real wide and paved it up to the Cottonwood turnoff, bypassing the Trading Post. Before that the road went right through their parking lot, and the gas pumps were right in front of the (old) Nugget Cafe. Many times I drove my logging truck through there. * Hah, I sound like Ian Tyson: I was broke in Wickenburg, the spring of '77  |

I plowed a path in my yard so the oil man can deliver me another 300 or so gallons of oil today. I have a 330 gallon tank and this time of year I get about 4 weeks out of it. |
Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Rich84 same deal here just with propane it's only for my cooking and water heater . I called them and told them to skip this months fill . I still have 3/4 of a tank so it's good till end of March. Really didn't want to clear a path to it

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Well finally got around to fixing my XL7 . Had a seized alternator new one put in but the registration and inspection was expired. So I've been driving it till the computer reset about 150 miles . So now it passed inspection so I can register it again . Get back into the driveway and the trans cooler rubber line blows out trans fluid everywhere. So it's going to be a nice sunny day and 28° Saturday and I'm doing this in my driveway

Yeah I hadn't cared about trying to fix it. The a/c works great the other 11 and a half months. :D It just needed a heat pump compatible thermostat. |
