How's this? It pulls better with premium gas. It doesn't stop better with premium gas.

I have it’s twin, very nice! I installed a 12v to combat the mileage and ‘88 disks up front for the stopping!

Got to use the truck just hours after finishing the receiver Install to haul some items for a gathering we had. Needless to say, I bought a trailer brake controller shortly after. Now I just need to order some air bags to keep it level while towing

Post # 1022 makes me pine for my old 1955 Chevy tow truck.....

It was battered and beat but unbowed, 35 years on I still miss driving and working it .

Made the trip to Lewiston ID. to get 2 tons of wood pellets for heating the house. Always an interesting trip; start out at 3800 ft, climb to 4960 ft, drop to 1100 ft, climb to 3965 ft and 85 miles later arrive in Lewiston at 747 ft. The K20 handled the trip with no problems.

The first pic reminded me of heading up Cabbage outside Pendleton. That’s a long slog

My ‘68 c10 burb bringing home goodies.
1969 cst blazer that I bought and Never should’ve sold.. Was a bad week and it solved the problem, but I wish I had it back.
And, dragging in what we refer to as “The Ugly Truckling”. It’s a ‘72 c30 underneath that hideous flat nosed outhouse of a cab.
It’s towed everything from civics to a rolls royce Less than ideal but it doesn’t complain a bit

Driven to Lewiston a bunch of times for work. I never seemed to be lucky enough to have good weather when I was there. It was either 95+ degrees, or raining, or snowing, or 10 degrees. The locals would always say " It's not normally like this"
Beautiful country.

It's definitely God's country.... although it's bordered by Hells canyon! The pictured road is state road 129 in Washington which connects with hiway 3 in Oregon. Anyone up to a scenic trip should come check it out. Rattlesnake grade on the north end is 10 miles of 6% grade and Buford grade on south end is 10 miles of 6% grade with the grande ronde river at the bottom.

Cut some firewood today. Shaggybark costs $250 a cord, month out, from a professional firewood supplier. This is much more enjoyable!

Cool! I have people say it isn't worth their time to cut wood over buying. I'd rather spend Sunday cutting firewood all day than pay $250 to watch a football game on my couch.

I was on my way Saturday morning last weekend to go cut & haul wood in my '72. I stopped at the corner for gas, realized I forgot my wallet before pumping, went to start the truck, and terrible grinding from the starter. It did grind a bit when I started it. It was pretty cold that morning. I drifted it back to the corner of the lot, tried again and the gear wasn't even engaging. Turns out a starter bolt supplied with the mini-starter broke off.

You couldn't pay me enough to watch pro-kneeling!! It was a beautiful day to be out, got exercise. Got 95% of the tree, need to sharpen the chainsaw, and go one more time.

Hauled 1/2 ton gravel for the driveway. I sort of cringed when it hit the floor and watched the suspension sag, but can hardly tell there is a load! Except driving up the long steep hill.

My dad bought a twin to that truck at Claude Withers Chevrolet, brand new, in 1968. It was a 6 cylinder, TOT, with smog pump.
