Thanks!

I hate to reveal my ignorance about the old Suburbans, but is that wooden headliner original or a custom touch you did? I'm assuming custom along with the wood floor too. How about the roof rack? Original or something more modern that you adapted to the 'Burb?

the bed , is raised up , as my chassis is a 1994 full size chevy , channeled and suspension dropped, the gas tank is still half under the cab and the box,
so i bolted 3/4 plywood in , counter sunk the heads , then went to menards and got some construction glue, and brad nailed the car siding on top of the 3/4 plywood and stained it. cost of bed approx 160.00 to do the floor

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

the suburbans had a cardboard headliner and a plywood floor but the rack is original. did you notice the side trim? not found on suburbans. I had to shorten long bed trim to fit.

thanks for the comments... clem

Yesterday I pulled the chrome stake pocket anchors and installed Perrycraft Mini-tube bed rails. They're similar to the original style, but not as tall above the bed sides. Took a couple of shots earlier today:

And thanks again to 63deluxfleet for pointing me in the right direction to find these.

Here is my 65 EVLPMKN.

I joke aroud and tell people that this is my suspension upgrade gone wild.

What started out as a 4" front 6" rear drop, power/front disk brake upgrade, and suspension rebuild turned into a total frame off rebuild with a few custom touches.

I built this truck at home in my girage. This was my first project and I did all the work my self (98%) with a little some help from close friends and a few new ones I made along the way. It was a great lerning experience, most of the time I loved it and other times I lost my temper in frustration.

I need to take some new interior pics since I finished the interior this summer. I can add them later.

I know you are tired of hearing me talk so here are a few pics of my truck. I have thought about making a post build thread if anyone is intersted. I have a tone of Pics.

My class room walls are covered in music and car posters :metal: I dont drive it to work very often due to my insurance policy. When I do I lock it up behind the school cafateria.

Thanks! I never thought I could build it this nice when I started. I think all my years of studying and performing music has taught me to pay close attention to every detaial, large or small.

Some parts I painted 3 to 4 times to get it right.

Not mine but a picture of this work horse should be included. Spotted in a very small Idaho back woods town. Wanted to check out the 4 wheel drive but a big guard dog refused access.
