Yeah I want to keep the ball rolling. Now that I finished the Studebaker Lark. The customer still has to pick it up, but needs to give me some more mula first.

I rewired the complete car, after I reinstalled the dash. And got everything working. All the wires are hidden. The guy that owns the car also owns a body shop. He will paint it Fararri Red and put a black canvas top. It's going to be an awesome car when done.

Now I just wish someone would get on mine and tell me to do some work. You know being messed up in the head really does effect what you like to do.

What you doing with all those Intro's I'll take 5 of those. doesn't matter if they match I'll get the same size tire.

I'm a Intro Dealer. This is my display, but I do want to sell them all. Including the stand. They do look Kewl sitting there though. :metal:

Picked some Intro Nitro's for the 62 SS Impala I'm doing a frame off on. Put the 18" & 20" up against my truck to see how they would look. They're a little to modern for me, but the sizes look great. If anybody wants some Intro Wheels let me know. I can beat anybody prices.
Check the out here.

what color are you planning to go with on this truck?

Strodder 05-03-2010 12:44 PM

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

Red & Black 2 tone with red interior. I'll add some pinstripping in silver also for a color division. Plus some old school stripping. That's a ways off though.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

Yeah it tucks in nice. Mine will tuck even further than that with the bags I'm installing. Keep checking in. That's coming up next when I start on the frame again. Just have to finish the flare on the drip rail, and shave the hole for the speaker grill in the dash.

Your truck is going to look good.

Strodder 05-03-2010 10:43 PM

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

Thanks Jason. I just want to get it running and on the road. Then I'll blow it apart and paint it, but I'll do the inside and the frame first, before I drive it & paint the outside later.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

But I need an air compressor before I can do much more. Come on money tree. I'm thinking you'll be done first.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

friend of mine used a couple of propanetanks hooked up in series with a big water seperator and a realy small compressor he let it run for bout 2 hours to fill up the tanks before he started painting .
it worked pretty good no airpulses from the compressorpistons or water/oil in the air to ruin the flow out the gun
the small compressor does have a shorter than normal lifespan running it that way but its cheaper to replace then a big compressor and has more use like lifting it up a stairs and use it to power a tacker or nailgun

i figured he answered to youre idea to paint the inside and run it as is for a while but if thats the case he could use a aircopump out of a certan year volvo ( think i still have that website somewhere if you need it ) or a CO2 tank with a regulator tied down in the bed for the time being ...... there a lot of guys doing it that way sumtimes because its cheaper than a pump but most of the time to get the bags filled a LOT faster

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

I was talking about a compressor for painting/sand blasting.:chevy: But I need two of the other kind also, I don't need those for awhile though. I was looking at getting one from Lowes for about 800. When I get it I can start painting some stuff. I already burned up a pancake compressor.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

I'm getting close to start working on her again. I have a 06 Ford Focus for sale. When it's sold I'll have all that money to buy a bunch of stuff for the 65. I have to finish the roof, then will work on the interior. I have to shave the dash first then paint the inside of the cab. Then I can install a windshield. Then get back on the frame, and install a chrome triangle 4 link with bags front & rear. Also notch the frame then I'll have it sand blasted, and powder coated. This is why I stopped working on it. Now I need to spend some money. The Focus will fix that. Now I just have to sell it. Stay tuned. ;)

Thanks for your encouragement guys. :haha: :haha:

A used car dealer offered me $5,500 for it. I'll advertise it first. I'm trying to get $6,200. But $5,500 would buy a lot of stuff.
