Re: 68 project
Good afternoon guys, I am hoping to get back at it during my Christmas vacation and prepare to move her back home after the first of the year. Sometimes life just brings us some unexpected hurdles.

Re: 68 project
I sure hope whatever the event was it didn't set you back too much Larry! Always enjoy seeing your posts and I know how much you want your truck done.
Glad to see you back here and hope that signals that the "event" is in the rear view mirror! David |
Re: 68 project
Glad to hear you will be trying to get back at it. Life is full of fun hurdles but we must press on. Take care and enjoy your vacation.

Re: 68 project
I had noticed you weren't posting lately and was hoping all was ok. If you need any help moving your project back home let me know.

Re: 68 project
Unfortunately it is far from being in the rear view mirror and has just begun, not sure where it will take me financially now that I have assumed all our assets including the new car I bought my wife. The unfortunate event is a seperation, my wife walked out on me after 15 years and I just went out and bought the Camaro. So now I have all monthly bills the mortgage and 2 car payments, thank God I make a decent living. So I am not really sure where all this will lead to but it is a lot of major adjustments mentally, physically and financially. But I will pull through in one way or another. I appreciate you alls concern and offer of help and may need it before it is over. :chevy:

Re: 68 project
Just let me know if I can help somehow. We all need a little help every now and then. Saw the Dixon Custom Cabinetry truck the other day. Got by me before I realized what it was. Take care.

Re: 68 project
Hey Larry, I'm sorry to hear that man! I'm to far away to just drop by, but if you ever do a planned work day/weekend, you can bet your a$$ I'll drive over and help. I figure after all the dealings we've done, I'm good for a road trip...but I won't go through Atlanta & sure as He77 won"t be stopping at IKEA...;)

Re: 68 project
I really like your build! I haven’t read the entire thread, can you tell me the paint color and brand/type on it. I love the contrast of colors.

No real updates today, actually have not even touched the 68 in 3 months about time to start hitting it again though, I feel the urge to get some more progress on it, my mind just has not been into it tbh. it will be relaxing to play again though:chevy:

Re: 68 project
Although I have not had anytime to work on my truck I am in the midst of moving her back to my house and all my good stuff. Tomorrow I should have my bench seat I have had Grumpy working on and will post pics of it as soon as it is in my presence :mm:

So Grumpy old man dropped off my benchseat yesterday, I have to say I am totally in awe of the craftsmanship he put into my interior. He went above and beyond my expectations. Yes this was the factory bench seat, integrated headrest and a flip down console with cup holders on the bottom.

Re: 68 project
Very, very nice, looks really comfortable.....
|
Re: 68 project
Nice! Did you have anything else done? Like matching headliner/door panels, etc?
|
Re: 68 project
Looks very nice .
|
Re: 68 project
Damn, that is nice! I like the cup holder idea. My kids are always bringing drinks in the truck and then they want me to hold them!

Working that canvas was TOUGH , Mounting the hidden cup holders down low helps prevent spills all over your interior ,There's a 12 volt outlet inside the consol to charge your cell phone and since it's a flip forward seat some mesh pockets on the back help with some storage space . I'm glad your happy with it .:chevy:

Re: 68 project
