My 1970 short bed. My grandfather bought it new, then when I was 15 I bought it from him to be my first vehicle. I plan on being buried in it when I die, lol.

Thank you, it's always been my 'first love', lol. I've owned it 11yrs now. It's great seeing everyone else's trucks and reading about their passion for them, I enjoy all of the individuality of each.

That really brings back some memories for me. My brother use to take me to school in a 68 just like that but in the 80's he had the gold center bullet hole wheels. |

Here is the story behind this truck. My father-in-law gave me this truck. It was his granfathers and was bought new here in the town we live in. My wifes grandfather (her mom's dad) rebuilt the truck in the mid 80's. I got the truck like this with a camper shell on it. Didnt take long to take that off. My son and I really enjoy the truck. It is a 307 3 speed manual steering and manual brakes truck. My plans are to put in a auto and power steering and a 2/4 drop with rallies. Then we will just drive it and enjoy. It will be my son's truck when he is ready!!!

Nice clean truck, I like the dark green, don't see it to often.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
here's a dark green one.
i bought this in June, it was built for the sand dunes in Michigan by someone. another guy bought it and put in a 600 HP pump gas motor, high stall converter, 4:88 gears, manual valve body 350 trans................... we made a deal minus engine and i trailered it home. i spent the summer finding, building and installing the engine, I'm changing it back to cruse on the street. i bought and restored a set of 3:73 axles that i have done, very tired of the 4:88's changing them ASAP. i have driven it around 500 miles so far, it get a lot of attention and complements. the day i brought it home: http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/l...ruckday026.jpg it took my 2 Dodges to get it home (he he) http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/l...ruckday028.jpg |
