Mike, I guess I missed this tidbit - are y'all having to move the truck and tools + the household goods or is the truck staying where it is for now?

Yes moving houses, we sold ours and we are renting until I can find what I need (a place with a shop or land to build a house and shop) No the truck is still at my buddy Chip's (Tireblazin) shop

Here are a few pictures from Sunday and Monday we have been setting up the Scott's Super Slam rear 4 link ! Ride height is frame rails 4 inches off of the ground, full lift 6 inches off the ground. I will finish welding inside the brackets when I flip it all over to do the bottom sides !

Next we started working on the rear upper bag brackets, setting the Firestone F9000 bags at 9.25 inches at ride height, hoping that will be hitting that "sweet spot" for the ride quality

LOL....yep 6 inches at full lift, she's a LOW-RIDER !!! And yes the shocks were upside down for a reason but AFCO actually can be ran that way if you want to , we are getting different shocks though these don't have enough travel .

Re: Slosh Tubz new company project "Square Peg" frame laying 1987 GMC Jimmy

you could always run an f-body h2o pump, and get the oil pan too...

what!...f-body? only the best car ever made! the camaro, and it's red headed step-sister the firebird....lol.

Re: Slosh Tubz new company project "Square Peg" frame laying 1987 GMC Jimmy

The LSA oil pan is another option but it is a touch deeper than the F-Body pan. The deep part of the sump is not as long a F-body pan, but still shorter than the truck pan. I was able to run the LSA pan on Korbin's '82 which has the crossmemeber raised in the frame 1.5" and still fit well.

Frame is looking good!

Thanks, Traditional with a twist, and yes we will release the final rendering as soon as we get the new wheels added to it ! and yes the color has been picked, it will follow along the Classic look theme that has done so well with Cloud 9 !

This is the CTS-V pan. Seems like it is the same as the LSA pan also. Which ever pan you go with, make sure you get the corresponding windage tray, pickup, and dipstick.
