So very well said!

More clean, prep, paint/coat..repeat. But it's looking better.

Got the front-end minus the sway bar and gear box done. I need to take the sway bar to the blaster. Whats the best method of cleaning the gear box before I do a rebuild on it? :fb:

Here are some more pictures. I really am liking how the red and black is turning out. My HF powder coat system is working out alright. :bling2:

Set the cab this morning. Wanted to make sure I did not need the BFH. I will have to move my wire looms a bit but happy with the valve cover clearance..:chevy:

x3 That is and is going to be a sharp truck!

And to add to thread, i checked and adjusted my timing a bit, adjusting idle mixture screws to improve vacuum, and blew a brake line in the driveway coming back from taking the trash off.

Did a little bed floor repair. When I started this, several days ago, I thought, this won't take long. Boy was I wrong. The old floor put up a good fight coming out.

well I am running a little late on the pc's I promised on the bed of ole dollor, wife had to have knee surgery and having to play nurse....so I got it all sanded and got the roll in bed liner installed, not a real good look like the stained wood I had, but I hope it last longer...first a pic of the bed when it was finished. then a pic of the bed the way it is now. still need to put the tool box back in..

Where did you source the patch?

I ordered the patch panel from LMC, but then had to cut it up to fit in the corner properly (sorta). FYI, the panels are not a real good match. The profiles are a little different.

Got my drive shaft installed.
Now the C50 is back on the road, super singles and disk brakes in the back. Think the sway bar is big enough?
Long bed installation is next after a little rear end cleanup. Then tackle finding a front axle with disk also!

Regrettably I do not, it's such a commitment. And I am not to good at those.

I have gotten a few things from LMC truck, and I hate to say that all of the parts that I have gotten were not the best quality, but they did get the job done, like my heater control levers that always seem to be broken. And the headlight relay upgrade? What a joke! If I had realized that it was going to be cheaply made I would have made my own, like I had done on an old Jeep I had.

I sandblasted the wheels then sprayed them with primer then painted the backs & centers with semi-gloss black enamel & then painted the front of the wheels with Rust-Oleum Professional High Performance enamel Aluminum. I also included a before pic to show how bad they were before I sandblasted & painted them. Tomorrow new tires get mounted onto the freshly painted wheels.

And it's finally done. New tires & freshly painted wheels & the truck is back down on the ground. All for the grand total of $481. Tires [235/75/R15] were on sale at Amazon for $319 delivered, sandblasting was $53 & dismounting, mounting, balancing & new valve stems were $84 & paint/primer was $25 on sale at Lowes. It's my budget build with money left over to get the wood bed done next - after the carpet & sound deadener is installed & the seat is reupholstered.
