Word of caution - recommend NOT mentioning that it's a Highlander and came with a plaid seat when complimenting the owner on this beautiful truck.

I just wish that appraisers would put “replacement value” instead of “market value” It gives the owner of the vehicle a false sense of what the truck is worth. Even at replacement cost, this one is a stretch. Even if a guy was to use nothing but NOS parts and and have a shop do all the work $118k build cost is still ridiculously high.
The appraiser that I use for my vehicles provides samples of comparable sales when he gives me my appraisals.
The above truck is absolutely beautiful, But it sure isn’t $75k beautiful. The fact of the matter is, it’s a long box and outside of this forum they just aren’t as desirable and I highly doubt that we will see the day when they are worth the asking price.

As far as his price goes. Buyers dictate prices, not sellers. This truck will only sell for what someone else thinks it’s worth. The seller will figure that out himself, I think it’ll be for sale for awhile.

Even if it’s not a real Cheyenne, the price is decent. I’d buy it.

Aye Caramba! That is a cool bumper. Perfect for the hangover campers, even has the fold down step.

Agree - good price no matter what trim level, looks dry as a bone. Unless, of course, the driver's side has been hit by a train or something.. Drives me nuts when people post 1 picture of a truck. Almost guarantees they will also be the seller that gets upset when you ask for a picture of the other side...

I like this one. 68 black with red interior. Painted bumpers, West Coasts and a four speed. Classic tough truck! $2600. Not mine.

https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/...922653563.html

I am selling a 1968 Chevy long bed pickup with a 327 and two barrel carb. It has a SM420 four speed manual transmission. It is a 3/4 ton with a factory posi. The truck is a two owner vehicle and has been in our family since the mid 80s. It has been driven extremely little with only 63,000 original miles. The original build sheets are still in place as seen in the pictures. The engine runs strong and blows no smoke. The tires have good tread. It will need new exhaust as it is rusted out. The body has some dents and dings. The bed and front fenders are fairly rust free but the cab floor has rusted in the usual places. The truck has sat for the last few years in a garage and has been driven very little. It’s time to see it go to a good home.

Nice finds guys. I’d love to have BOTH of those 68’s. A complete K10 in orange for 2800!? A Black and red 3/4 ton with posi and a 327 4 speed for 2600!? Why are these finds always 1500 miles away from me?

I wonder if it's an old service truck - low miles, Fasten Seat Belts sticker on gb door.... (though I've never seen a black w/red int service truck...)

I think it's worth more than seller is asking personally (for the red (or orange) 68 K10 I mean) - but the price reflects the level of disassembly, and the risk associated with not buying a complete, running truck. Bound to be something it will need that doesn't come with the truck. Having said that, if one doesn't mind a little assembly, and some inevitable parts hunting, I think $2800 for a red 68 K10 is pretty fair - and it looks like most of the parts are there, they will just be delivered in the bed probably...
