Today, I welded the patch on the rear drivers side fender. Still got to do a little more welding and grinding and a small amount of bondo. Got a little worn out today. I thought I would take it easy the rest of the day. Going up to Georgia in a few day to build a kitchen and bath room. Family needs help and this way I can look as I go and see if there are any trucks up there. I need a few parts for the inside cab.

Also here is a picture of my little helpers. The weather is real nice today.

It might be only me but, is the rear of this truck too high. My tire size is 30x9.50xR16.

It does look like its sitting a little high in the back. What springs did you put on there?

Re: 1968

The back is approx 2" higher than the front from the factory so you can put a load in the bed and not ride low. If you used the stock spring length then thats why.
Vic told me that those bedside weld on strips are really reasonably priced.

Looks really nice. Your brother-in-law will have an easy time getting it painted.

Great Job.

I looked in several mag. They do not show anything. Again it looks like there should be at least a spacer or something. To bring up the two front and the two back bed rails so the center will be level with the other four. Not counting for the 1/4 inch pads. I know that they go there.

It looks like there are some kind of shim under the rails. here is a page from the LMC catalog, it shows them there. They don't sell them seperately, bummer.

You could just make some pretty easily. Good luck.
Also here are your chains, or a hidden latch kit.

Yea i was going to fix the 67 small window that I have extra. I think I will take a break from the metal for a while. The cab is not eating anything setting out there. This way i can focus on the 68 and get her done. I will be thinking of you while I am having a cold one.

I think I will go with bolt on instead of weld on's. It will make a cleaner look. The gaskets between the fender and bed side are also going in. I found the strips gor 10.00 used in great condition. Just paint them.

I have one of classic parts magazine. I seen the strips in it. I will be ordering a few things soon. I don't understand why I have not use then any sooner. Their prices are cheeper that some of the other ones I have tried.

Today, I ran my transmission lines to the radiator and transmission. They came out easier than they went back in. Anyway they are done. This is all I did today.

Today, while I was looking for some bolts in my bolt bin. While I opened it up I heard something fall inside. So I looked and it was locked the bottom door. I found the key inside one of the drawer. I use this as a bolt bin. You want believe what I found. You see I was giving this old cash register bottom about 6 months ago. Never thought of looking in the bottom door. Here is what I found. All of these tools are in great condition. But, they are old.
