no doubt about it, you must be The Fonz! :) excellent work Kees, I tried to call you last week to come and see your truck, perhaps this weekend? |

BTW, I put your number in my phone, so I see that it's you  |
Re: Dutch '59 Fleetside Longbed
Hi Cees
I think I'm heading down there tomorrow morning. Not in the truck though... had the inspection today.. was a real success in that it only failed on two things! Sealed beam headlights not allowed and one poor brake. Sounds like that's the common faults for apaches! Easy fix.. I've tried a few shows over here, but haven't found anything too good. Hoping the hotrod show will be better. I'm always looking for one where people are selling old parts. Sort of swapmeet style. |
Re: Dutch '59 Fleetside Longbed
Yep Easy fix!!
Different men, different rules...sealed beams are allowed IF they give a good light image.... But thats difficult with sealed beams. Good to hear that's all! This show is a reasonable show, not the standard as England or USA but for the Dutch is good. The swapmeet is also good, only not so much American stuff. Maybe we run into each other, I always wear a black Dickies jacket and red All Stars, just one of the other 50's Rockers :lol: So, if you think you see me, say Hi! |
Re: Dutch '59 Fleetside Longbed
I thought there must be tons of cars driving round with sealed beams, but he passed 99.9% of the truck so I wasn't going to argue!
I'll look out for you. Shame we're not in the trucks as it'll be easier to recognise each other! |
Re: Dutch '59 Fleetside Longbed
Hey Nick!
Have you been to Rockin Jalopy? Sorry we didn't met overthere, I was there from 10.00 to about 16.00. Nice "new" cars this year! |
Re: Dutch '59 Fleetside Longbed

the show was definately worth going to and a good size (for NL!) The hotrod side was interesting then I spent a lot of time going round the autojumble part. Looked out for you but didn't see you. Will have to wait til the trucks are on the road then we'll find each other or if you are passing Bussum then call in... and let me know about any other shows worth going to.. thanks Nick |
