Re: 1968
This is my last repair I have to make. I think I will through myself a finish party and have a coors light to celebrate.
Here is a picture of the bad section of the fender. |

Have you ordered the weld on strips for the bedsides yet?

Today, I welded the patch on the rear drivers side fender. Still got to do a little more welding and grinding and a small amount of bondo. Got a little worn out today. I thought I would take it easy the rest of the day. Going up to Georgia in a few day to build a kitchen and bath room. Family needs help and this way I can look as I go and see if there are any trucks up there. I need a few parts for the inside cab.
Also here is a picture of my little helpers. The weather is real nice today. |

It might be only me but, is the rear of this truck too high. My tire size is 30x9.50xR16.

It does look like its sitting a little high in the back. What springs did you put on there? Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: 1968
The back is approx 2" higher than the front from the factory so you can put a load in the bed and not ride low. If you used the stock spring length then thats why.
Vic told me that those bedside weld on strips are really reasonably priced. |
Re: 1968
Looks really nice. Your brother-in-law will have an easy time getting it painted.
Great Job. |

Today, I ran my transmission lines to the radiator and transmission. They came out easier than they went back in. Anyway they are done. This is all I did today.

Today, while I was looking for some bolts in my bolt bin. While I opened it up I heard something fall inside. So I looked and it was locked the bottom door. I found the key inside one of the drawer. I use this as a bolt bin. You want believe what I found. You see I was giving this old cash register bottom about 6 months ago. Never thought of looking in the bottom door. Here is what I found. All of these tools are in great condition. But, they are old.
