Steel wheels can't be milled down to 22" from 22.5" and it is very dangerous to stretch a 22" low profile tire on a 22.5" rim. I really wanted to go this route too because I like the steel wheels too!

Have you had it done before already? Or have you seen any post where guys have done something similar? I just assumed they made a 22.5 low profile shows how much I know. I've even called shops and they haven't foot a clue what I'm talking about

I've done a lot of research. They guy to talk to is Trevor at Tennessee wheel and tire. He has been talking to a company about making 22" steel wheels but no luck yet.

I have seen some of these myself, I know the hub is different but I'm sure if you wanted to run them you could have your adapters made to match those hubs.

Sorry guys just been collecting parts and planning, nothing picture worthy. I have two other projects I'm working on in the shop right now. A 67 and a 66 both are for customers; plus my construction business is booming! I am slammed with work! I do however hope to have some updates in the next few weeks though.

You can follow the 67 build here!

Rus, you forgot to mention the most important thing.....a newborn at the house. Anybody with kids understands the setbacks and priority changes that occur when your first little one arrives.

Hey Rus, Are you still looking for a bed? I sent you an email.

I just got your email Todd. Those are pretty nice looking beds but I have one now. I bought one from board member Twangismythang out of Memphis. Chuck and I drove down to get it awhile back. Thanks for thinking about me though!

Great to hear that you found one. Sounds like another good road trip. Keep me informed on what you are looking for and I will keep my eyes out for you.
