here is the fender all welded up, it just need to be ground smooth but it turned out pretty nice

Thanks Jim. yes the parts truck is in Pretty good shape, lots of good parts that I will be able to sell and make money on while keeping the parts I want

It sure is, I'm going to be tearing into it lots this weekend since I've got a 4 day Long weekend :metal:. Both Monday and Tuesday off school.

Thanks Scott, it may be a while until it's on the road since I think I'm going to do the crossmember swap, power brakes and power steering first.

Did lot of work on taking the 78 apart and I struck it rich lol. Found a bunch of change in the ashtray. I'm looking forward to seeing what is hiding under the seat, allready found a couple wrenches.

Got the 4spd removed from the 78 yesterday. This was quite the event since the trans (sm465) weighs 175 lbs and with the bellhousing it probably weighs 200 and I pulled it myself using just a regular jack and a ratchet strap. At least it's over with. I also got the steering box removed and it took a while since the pitman arm was stuck to the centre link.

I got a ton done today, I removed the front fenders, inner fenders, core/rad/grille support, brake booster and master cylinder, distribution block and brake lines. Then I got the crossmember all unbolted and removed it as well. This pic is after I scraped all the grease off

I sraped a lot of grease off the crossmember, it weighed in at 2lbs
