He can spell bandana but not use the correct wear "ware"...and I believe it is "oh yeah", not "ow ya". And gloves are stupid ...gloves aren't going to protect anyone...but I digress.

I made my own mask, do you think the seller would be OK if I wore this mask and gloves ??

I'd be willing to bet it is a DMV or State Police issued VIN due to a title problem in the truck's past.

TWO 66 Custom Campers on ebay at the moment.

66 C20 Custom Camper ebay ($10K starting bid and probably worth every dime if engine is original). A few things that I'd have done differently (like the engine paint color and spray-liner diamond plate bed..), but all in all a very nice one - wonder what the reserve is!?!?

66 C20 Custom Camper ebay ($6.5K starting bid - look close, kinda rough in some pics)

The search continues... :)

I agree, not bad for a custom camper, they always seem to have something not to our liking. With a little detail work, it could be a very nice driver. Notice the seat swap? Somebody swapped out the original cloth seat and substituted in a very nice standard '64-'65 seat.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds

That is a hell of an interesting project. Funny that it still has the generator but, somebody took off the Stromberg to put on a Holley. It has the somewhat strange 6 lug wheels with BIG hubs. It has a very short wheelbase but, somehow, he squeezed in an over/under box. The front axle alone is worth the asking price. I kinda thing the T-case is actually a 201, not a 221.
"Big 305 V6"
The V-6 went all the way up to the DH-478. 305 is the smallest. I had a friend who had the same drivetrain in an old motorhome. It was IH but, had the same drivetrain.

I've got a bit of a "what do you think it's really worth" find.

I came across this 1963 K20, 4x4, inline 6, manual 4 speed, possible factory PTO for the winch. The front fenders would need patching, the rockers need work, and I don't know about the rest of the firewall or floorboards.

I'm told it all works as it should, runs and drives, electrical works.

I'm just curious what an actual purchase price should be knowing it's going to need body work. If I go see it, I don't want too get to excited and pay too much.

I purchased a '65 K20 Long bed fleet side 16 months ago in very similar condition for $6,000 in the Phoenix, AZ area

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds

C'mon, that bumper alone is worth $6K on Barrett Jackson! ;)
I'd say anywhere in the $5-10K is ballpark. The originality puts it in that range in my mind - still has the original wheels and looks like pretty much everything is still there.

WOW Civilegr. That is a really cool truck. You dont see many in that original condition. It looks great just as it sits. Its going to be hard to pass it up.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds

Nice truck, looks like some or maybe a lot of bodywork depending how fussy you are. Nice mirrors which are becoming harder to find, and nice rims, I like split rims. I had one very similar when I was 18 years old, I was too young and dumb to appreciate it. Overall the purchase price will only vary by a few K. And will be very little compared to the overall expense when finished, again depending on how fussy you are. I would bargain and try to get the price down, but unless his price is over the top, I would buy it.

He did a 2-4 drop with springs, looks a little lower in the back, doesn’t it?

civilEGR, you better go grab that before I do! Seriously, I saw that too and if I had the extra $$$ i'd be looking at it. You don't see them that original and fairly solid around here. Looks like it could be a good driver. Cheaper than going to Idaho and trying to find one!

It looks like it needs cab mounts too. I'm going to look at it tomorrow after work. If I can get a few grand lower than his asking to take care of the cab mounts, some panel replacement, and likely look at replacing the wheels, then I think it could be a good deal.

I pointed that one out to my wife, saying, "Well, honey, I've had it advertised for months, but nobody is buying!". That comes from the wife wanting it gone and the guy not wanting to sell. Not saying that's the case here, and for that kind of money it ought to look a lot better than it does, IMO. It's been on there since earlier this year, like at least 6 months. This ad is a re-post.
