I also have a Vintage air setup in my 70 Suburban. I built a console that runs from the front to the second row seats. I ducted two vents in the second row and one under the second row to cool the third row. (in addition to the vents on each side of the dash, and the one in the front center of the console) It works decent, but I wish it had a bit more output overall. I think creating 6 vent outlets stretches the capability of the kit.

I'm hoping the Gen IV and a lot of insulation will do the trick.

I was hoping to get a Gen IV system for my sub as well and have a smooth firewall like you, what are your plans for plumbing the unit?

I'll take some pictures when I get to that point. I'm tying up some loose ends right now....

Well it's not much, but its progress. I swapped out the factory 4L60E servo for a Corvette servo. It's supposed to help firm up the shifts and make the transmission last longer. It was a fairly easy and only took about 30 minutes to accomplish. The inside of the tranny looked as clean as the inside of the motor, :metal:. I also bolted on my headers for the last time. I just need to tidy up a few more things and then I'll jump back into my wiring mess....

Not yet, although I have bought a few parts.....:). I did make some progress on the suburban today. I got the wiper transmissions painted and mounted and I got the fuel injection computer mounting location and bracket mocked up. I still need to build the final bracket, but that should be pretty straightforward now.

love the custom emblems. trying to throw them off the gen III track w/327? Isn't the 5.3 really a 325.1 or something? Or is it a 323?...Then again I've seen Pace (maybe even GMPP) call one a LS327! So ya......327 is the best choice!

Thanks guys for all the compliments! I'm really getting motivated to get it back together again. I keep trying to do a little each night, even if it's something as simple to bolting on a few emblems, :). Once that was done, I just had to put the fender on to see how it looked. I'm stoked, :metal:! Here's some motivational pictures!

On the other hand, I'm glad it isn't on the road yet, it's really going to ruin the chances of all of us other Burb owners when it comes to the "Suburban" Truck of the Month category. They may as well go ahead and give him the award for next year (if he's done) :) Definitely a show stopper

Not that it matters, you can badge them anyway you want.

It's a factory color, bright red I think is the name. I've got the paint code posted somewhere in the thread. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll ask my painter.

Well I've finally made some progress that is worthy of pictures. When I decided to swap the middle bench out for a set of buddy buckets, I didn't realize how much hassle it was going to be to mount them. And of course, I had to make it more complicated by making the mounts look cool. I still have to weld everything up solid and add another brace front to back. Anyway, here's what I came up with.Let me know what you think.

That's cool! Floating seats ;)

Are you leaving them open underneath completely or will you use it for a storage area?
