I have cut a lot of trees and firewood over the last 45+ years, but at the risk of asking a dumb question, what is Shaggybark? A nickname or the real name for a type of tree?

I don't know the answer either. Might be a cedar or juniper being in AZ. Back east we have shag bark hickory. I learn of more tree species around this country all the time, as well as right here where I live. It's pretty incredible, all that nature has created

No worries! Arizona has at least 3 varieties of wild Juniper, Alligator has a bark that is like a checkerboard, not as messy as .... Shaggybark is a generic term for the bark that is a huge mess, so we have two species, the one I cut is Utah Juniper. I only know that because this summer I visited Navajo National Monument, and a sign by the tree described it. There is also a Juniper that is planted for landscaping, it's wood is more like Pine. In fact, I lined the driveway with the big branches, since they were live and need to cure, looked like a good spot.

I hauled another half ton of gravel.

Soon , I’ll be posting a pic of my 68 k1500 hauling my 69 mustang on a trailer and my 67 Triumph motor cycle in the truck bed. It’s been a dream of mine to do this , it’s just been waiting on the truck . Which will be done soon.

Brought home some flooring. This was the second load. 70 boxes in all. The guy said he didn't want to over load the truck. I thought it could handle it.

NICE! I hope to live to 83 or so, but I don't know that I will be in that great a condition. Good for your dad!

Your post revealed a chink in my armour...No pictures showed up on my side...only your captions so I read the captions then went to find out why no pics. Turns out it was a Web Tracking nanny on my side mistaking your image URLs for trackers and blocking them. I fixed the issue ( added this domain to the don't block list ) and then got the pictures.

HAH! Little helper was a surprise. D'oh.

you shouldn't have any trouble with dropbox domain, I don't ever even see ads in my profile :)

yah that little guy gave me a start.. I was resting in a decent breeze with my door propped open when I looked down and saw him.. then he wouldn't leave
