Picked up a new hood and heater controls, along with an ashtray and later model washer bottle set up from the local junkatorium.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I took the '67 and '75 for a short drive out in the country to get them some exercise. Of course I took the '67 first since it has the 454 and wanted to have little fun.

Well I did this a few weeks ago but just took the pictures today.
Got the on board compressor all hooked up with the pleasure lift gauge and push button switch to fill them up. Works great takes maybe 30 seconds to fill.;):chevy: |

Seems like day just went by....
My truck is obviously a driver...not a show truck in any sense of the word. But I have a friend who is running a local show and I signed up. So, I spent a day under the hood doing what I could with what I had to work. Also, it seemed like I'd just clean up one area and another that I'd already cleaned was dirty...And she didn't move an inch! I can see the subtle changes from yesterday, but I'm sure I'm the only one. No matter. It was a good day. Nothing broke. And I didn't buy anything! ;) |
Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I swapped out the old 6 lug axle shafts for new ones... the old ones had been sitting around my buddy's barn and had pitted races... I put those in last weekend... also installed my sway bar! 1-1/16" bar... OMG What A Difference!!!!
So sense last weekend my truck has new rear axles, bearings, new gear oil, a sway bar, new backup/safety switch, new dimmer switch pigtail, new to me chrome bumper, and turned drums. the truck is really starting to come into its own. |
Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Gave it a new stance. Added CPP 2 1/2" drop spindles. Now it sits 5 1/2" in the front and 5" in the back.

Just follow this guide http://www.wideopen4x4.com/NP205RebuildGuide.html It should be quite easy since you just can unbolt it at the transfer case and then just pull the whole thing out. /Patrik |

Yesterday, oil change, clean air filter, add 2" blocks in the rear (from Boris) then did about 70 miles of driving and then washed it.
Today added a front anti sway bar, then drove it, these lastest upgrades made a huge difference in driving. A rear sway bar may be on it's wanted list. |

Made this out of stuff from around the house. It's gonna ger a piano hinge and some magnetic "keep it closed" and a hidden "opener".
I made it to house a bucks-up Pioneer electronics set up that used to be mine and my friend is giving back. DVD player, Nav, etc. I'll also punch holes in the "door" for a white faced clock and a manifold vacuum gauge, I think. Not sure if I'll do it or not, but I'm also always looking for a smart place for Mr. Smith to ride. ;) I HATE digging around with a spagetti dinner of wiring in close quarters.. So, I'll be able to open the door and get at everything. |
Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Went to go look at the truck, talked about a price

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I primed my inner fender wells front and rear, radiator support, bed cross braces. I am borrowing my old 72 tomorrow and going on an 8 hour cruise to pick up new bed sides and tail gate. Paint is real close
