Radiator Service
As you said you have a four row core brass radiator it's a fairly simple thing to clean, use powdered citric acid mixed one pound of citric acid to each gallon of distilled water ~ mix this outside of the radiator and drive it a day or two, the coolant will turn dead black as it does it's thing, drain, flush and repeat until there's no clouds in the water / acid mix and no visible solder bloom .
This works with aluminum cooling systems too . Remember to leave the heater's water valve wide open so it gets cleaned out too and never use tap water ! . |

Went and hitched it up to my travel trailer today, with the help of one of my sons. There will be a pic of my truck hauling, soon. Though it will be parked when the pic is taken.

Fixed the throttle linkage. Step on the pedal and it sort of clicked like something was jamming up. Found the culprit and tightened it up.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II
Tired of getting pine needles and debris in my cab every time I turned on the heater.
Removed the heater core and found a nasty old mouse nest packed into the heater box. Removed the nest, touched up the rusty metal, primed and painted now I am waiting for gaskets to reinstall. Sorry, I do not know how to resize the pictures. Plus while waiting for the gaskets, I needed to bypass the heater core. I could not find a 3/4" barb to 5/8" barb fitting.
So, here are a couple of fittings you should keep in your truck in case you need to bypass the heater core due to a leak. The clutch pedal is gone, so a larger brake pedal pad was in order. The gas pedal to match eventually.
