We had a decent frost here this morning, then it hit about 60, lol....

Everything is scuffed and hung. Last thing to do is wipe it down then I can shoot primer. I got a scary experience for ya. Pick up and hang a brand new cowl hood by yourself:lol:.

Tomorrow Grey, Wensday Yellow. Mainly depends on how my grandma is doing. She's in the hospital, all prayers are welcome.

My prayers are with your Grandmother and your family. May she recover quickly and completely. The Blazer parts will still be hanging there. Take care of the important things first!

Been watching your entire build thread. I enjoy seeing the progress! Looks like you are going to end up with one great ride!!

Agree...tend to the golf balls. ;)

>> >> Mayonnaise Jar & Two Beers...

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 Beers.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him.

When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full.

They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.

The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

=0 A

He then asked the students again if the jar was full.

They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.

Of course, the sand filled up everything else.

He asked once more if the jar was full.

The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand.

The students laughed...

'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.

The golf balls are the important things---your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the20other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.

The sand is everything else---the small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.

The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Spend time with your children.

Spend time with your parents.

Visit with grandparents.

Take time to get medical checkups.

Take your spouse out to dinner.

Play another 18.

0A

0A
There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

Take care of the golf balls first---the things that really matter.

Set your priorities.

The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented.

C2

The professor smile d and said, 'I'm glad you asked.'

The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of Beers with a friend.

**Willing to delete this for you but it seemed pertinent at the time.

Welp, my granny is doin' great. Off the ventilator and alert. Still in the ICU for a bit but thats ok. Don't care what anyone says, prayer works!

All the parts to be yellow are now grey! I'm headed back to the garage for some finish sanding and tomorrow if all goes well, I'll shoot the paint.
Pics to come later.....

Its a good feeling having it all one color, even if it isn't the final color.

My exhaust fan does a fine job. This wouldn't work in some places but I'm out in the county in KY, lol. I stick it on a stand in the doorway and out all the overspray goes.

Gotta love it. Drivin' me nuts, can't wait to have it in yellow.

I thought I would be able to have it all blocked out and painted by the end of the day today.... I thought wrong:lol:. Just incase anyone doesn't know or has some how forgotten.... I really don't like sanding. I've got it all knocked down, just going back over it for a final smoothing. The doors are done and the hood is half done, topside anyways. I can't decide if I should smooth out the underside of the hood or just leave it and shoot it. Any thoughts? Keep in mind this is a driver, maybe a show here and there, lol.

Its been a long day. As long as no kinda crap goes down between now and in the morning I'll have some cool pics to post by the end of the day tomorrow. I hope I've got enough paint......

Re: "Slowly but Surely" Big J's build thread...

It didn't come out as nice as I'd hoped but nothing a cut and buff won't take care of. Oh, ran out of paint too.... Luckily I was saving the rockers/bedsides for last anyways so everything got the paint it needed. It did take more than I expected to get good coverage.

Thanks for all the kind words. My wife has always had a thing for Tweety Bird so now of course everyone is calling it the Tweety mobile, lol. Not me though, I'm partial to Sylvester:lol:. Went back over to check on how its curing. Theres nothin' like watchin' paint dry, lol. Looks good but theres still a ton of work to do.

Almost forgot. I couldn't find someone to take a pic of me not moving while painting......:ito: Didn't wanna stir up any dust.:chevy:
