That's a 1973 and up alternator bracket. I have also seen an arm like our trucks have but installed on that side.

This was the first truck I bought way back in 1989. It was on old gas truck with a worn out 350, but the body was in excellent shape ( $1500 ). It was originally white, but was painted with a cheap blue paint. I had it painted back to the original white---the interior paint was excellent except for the drivers door so I only had the inside of the doors repainted.
I rebuilt a small-block 400 with a mild rv cam and some 202 heads. It runs pretty good. I changed out the 3.08 gears for some 3.42's and put some hedman headers on it. At the time, I was working at an auto glass shop and we put a power window kit in it and deleted the vent windows. The glass is laminated glass ( tint in between two sheets of glass ) that we custom cut. The side markers are from an early nineties chevy van and the gas cap is a one off made by a good friend of mine. Although I have a few trucks, this one will always be the favorite!! It has been sitting in the barn for a couple of years because the trans leaks and the rear main seal needs to be replaced. I pulled it out today and washed it. I charged the battery and pumped the gas once and she fired right up!! Some pics are before I washed it. |
