You suck :) Great find. I wish I could find one that nice.

Take a look at the 88-98 truck gas doors. They look to have the right curve to them so they follow the contour of our quarter panels and are round so they fit the look of our trucks pretty well.

Nice Buy on the tail gate!
Let me know if you ever want to sell it.
I could use one with original paint.

I think so. I will see if I can dig out the one I have and check it out with my stepside. I got it for my fleetside but I think it will work for both.

The curves match up pretty well on the stepside too.

Hard to see in the pics but I'll post them anyway.

Re: My 68 swb build.

All you have to still paint is the bed plus touch up right? I wouldn't think that you'll be 3000+. And if it were me I would have the same guy spray all your paint. I learned that lesson the HARD way!!!

i know that, but the guy who did the paint etc on the cab and front clip isnt going to finish or start any more jobs because hes suppose to be working for an actual body shop and not for himself....that is also him fixin everything and lining up the rest of the truck...

Re: My 68 swb build.

well theres a few things i want done too...recessing the tail lights into the wheel tubs, shaving the fender lights, blasting the parts and possibly fixing the screw ups the other body guy left behind

Seems a little steep unless he paints the whole exterior too.

Having a different painter spray part of your truck is risky that it won't look the same.

Dang that sucks. ESP since it was looking really good what he was doing. But going to have to roll with it then. If you are doing all that then might not be a bad deal as you wouldn't have to fork any money out of pocket. Id put in there though that if it doesn't match that he needs to spray the exterior of the cab and front clip to match. And put it on paper or you might get screwed.

nothing is said and final...do you really think this is a bad idea? i mean the bike is just sitting there, i dont have any overhead on the bike except for insurance...From what i understand, that him blasting the bed pieces, prep and paint, buffing etc. and possibly fixing the other guys messups that he didnt fix. Lining the front and bed up too....and getting it in writing would be a for sure....i visited his shop this morning and its packed with old cars and is kept clean. he has an impala hes working on and from what it looks like he does a damn good job. he blasts and preps the metal and then does body work. i thought the impala looked good just bare metal and filler thats been blocked... i havent seen an actual car painted but hes suppose to do this one soon..

I dont think it's a bad idea. I'd def consider doing it. I need to go to Outback again and see if Roger will give me some parts for not-a-raping. Everytine I look at your truck I like it more BTW
