Been spending most of my time lately taking the 78 apart and selling things from it but today I started to tear the suspension apart and clean it up. I got the caliper, rotor and spindle off on one side. Breaking the balljoints loose was quite a struggle but a pickle fork and gear puller used together got the job done. I then cleaned the spindle in the parts cleaner and got it looking pretty with a coat of paint .

Pulled the rear end out today after school. I was on a bit of a time crunch as the truck is getting picked up tommorow but i got it done. The guy that is buying it is giving me more than I paid for it so that means I got all my parts free:metal:

Did you take the master cylinder from the 78 and use it on the 62?
I just picked up a 62 parts truck today to use on my 63 build. |

Sold the 78 today, got $300 (what I paid for it) plus 160 for some other parts I sold earlier. So free parts and money seems alright to me :metal:. Plus I can roll the 62 back out in the driveway so I can get back to work on it!:chevy:

Could you please weigh that for me, and get me the dimensions, outside length and width. So that I can figure if one would fit in the mail. |
Re: A 15 year old's project. Rusty 62 stepside
Man wished you lived closer I spotted some parts on the 78 I could've used. Oh well. Great progress.
