Lookin great! Good thing your friend mentioned the calipers. It's a lot easier to fix now rather than when it's all back together

I looked at your discs and said I should check to see if they are right, then I got sidetracked and didn't look close enough...glad you caught it now!

For sure.....It was on a Facebook group that Im on...he picked upon it first thing......I got them swapped over this afternoon after church.

Also picked up power steering sector and pump from a junkyard for 25.00 and got the sector cleaned up and mounted using Capt Fabs bracket...wasnt to bad at all.

Steering sector has 5686555 and 7802644 plus 341 70 stamped on it...gonna try and do some research to see what it came from.

Well a lil progress from the past week...
Got the motor and tranny installed, as well as the driveshaft, got ole girls new shoes put on.

Then I got the front A-arms bump stops put on.....NOTE TO SELF and ANYONE who reads this....it is so much easier to put the bump stops on BEFORE you assemble the front end......but it is doable once together....its just a pain that way...lol

Also got my Snowden seat ordeted, started receiving parts for the stereo system.
Slowly but surely coming together

My lil helper Kayden said he couldnt help cause he had to work on his truck....gotta love it!!!!

Looks awesome John...love the silver trans and manifolds...makes it pop against the green.

LOVE that Kayden is working on his truck and is underneath it!

Thanks Andy....Im just hoping it runs like it should after the second rebuild......Kayden is a trip....When we put the tranny on he just HAD to tighten up the bell housing bolts, and then had to get on HIS creeper and tighten up the tranny mount bolts AFTER he got his safety glasses on.....We are adamant that he wears his safety glasses when he is working around the truck....So funny for him to lay on the creeper and ask for wrenches...while he has no clue what sizes he needs he is doing great to only be 4 years old....Once we got finished he had to run in the house and tell Nana that he put the tranny in

Slowly but surely....Working on the pulley system now, trying to figure out what pulleys I need...Im thinking a 3 groove harmonic balancer pulley and a 2 groove water pump pulley should do it......Trying to wait until the AC stuff gets here so I can line everything up. One thing is for sure that single pulley system definitely wont work when you add power steering and AC....
If I didnt want it to look original I would have just bought a serpentine system....but.......I think it will look good once everything is in

Yes sir...Its the journey not the destination as we say......Kayden is a good boy and so smart to be 4 yrs old, and is interested which makes it even better....I told my brother in law, Randy, that once we get done with my truck we are gonna find him a project to work on as he gets older.....He likes Hot Rods as he calls them.

My dreams started at 6 in a 63 Chevy C10 Stepside my Uncle had.....You just never know what spending a lil time with a kid will do......One thing for sure is that he will always know he is loved by Uncle John:metal:

And as ALWAYS ROLL TIDE!!!!!

Lil more progress. Got the front sway bar installed with the help of my main man Kayden. He made sure everything was tight.
Decided not to put the rear sway bar in. So Ill sell it when everything is done.

Cab is DONE!!!!
It really looks good up close. It hasnt been cut and buffed. The body shop wants to wait until I get it all back together in case I nick something....once I get her all back together they will touch up anything I mess up then cut and buff all of it.
