72 K20 $8900. Not mine.
https://corvallis.craigslist.org/cto...384579838.html 1972 Chevy K20 Suburban Price is OBO Engine: GM 350 bored .10 over Elgin roller rockers Edelbrock single plane Torker II intake. F.A.S.T. ez-efi fuel injection conversion New poly fuel tank with In-line electric fuel pump. Center dump Ram Horn exhaust manifolds. New exhaust w/MagnaFlow mufflers Serpentine accessory drive conversion with duel electric fans blowing through an all aluminum radiator. This truck never overheats; ever. Transmission: TH350 installed by local shop and under warranty. Needs: Body and paint. The rear passenger corner is the only spot I think will require replacement. The other rust should be workable for someone with auto body skills. Interior needs the seats rebuilt and the dash is cracked in a few spots. Front driveline is fully rebuilt but I haven’t bolted it back up yet. I have a number of parts to include with sale |
Re: Suburban and panel finds
That is a TON of rot in the rear.....boat hauler?
|
Re: Suburban and panel finds
It certainly is odd. I wonder if something corrosive got spilled on the inside at some point. Or it got hit there and never properly sealed after the repair. Looks like a good candidate for a body swap.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
road salt typical.. more on the right because a single leg usually spins that side and throws it all up in there.. plus that's the spare tire well side.. in the areas that salt, it migrates toward the shoulder as it wears off the roadway so heavier damage on the right is common

This post is so old, yet so up to date. I've got to wonder how many Subs have changed hands over the years of this post :)

Re: Suburban and panel finds
I talked to the fella about that black burb on "Camaro" Island (supposed to be Camano) and he has someone coming tomorrow to put a deposit on it. Seems odd to put a deposit on something that is under a grand.
There is probably no paperwork , a lost title kind of thing. That would put it out of me having any interest. But I did tell him to give me a shout if the guy is a no show, I might drive up and take a look. Im only interested it for parts. Its super hammered and rusty. He said he has had a ton of calls which shocked him. I told him btw its a 72 not a 68, sounds like I was the first person to tell him that. |

Re: Suburban and panel finds
I guess I should have asked here instead of the truck site, duh...but I'm curious about the '72 Suburban in post #1103...are those tail-lights custom or is it something you find on Canadian models? Never seen those before?

Re: Suburban and panel finds
Those are a first for me. I'd bet that they're custom. No backup lights either.
Maybe a Burban built south of Texas? |

I answered on the truck site . But I think they are trailer lights with an optional chrome bezel.

Nice looking 70 K20 with hatch and gate $26000. Not mine.
https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/...411616778.html I purchased this truck from the man that had owned it for forty years. It was his hunting rig for 28 of those years and then sat after the motor was rebuilt. The suburban runs and drives as it should and lights work. The interior is clean. The rockers have minimal rust, floors seem good. It is in very good shape, although the paint job is about a 20 footer (meaning: flat and dry spots in the paint). NEW Bumpers, brakes and shocks all the way around, exhaust, locking hubs, 4" lift, new 16" steel wheels and tires Power brakes, power steering, 350 small block (SBC), Turbo 350 transmission, Dana 60 in the rear and 44 upfront. Has a full-length original air conditioning system. The fan works but the belt is off of the A/C at this time. Comes with an early winch that was bought out by Warn. |
Re: Suburban and panel finds
One of the best or at least appealing to an old man like me that I've seen in awhile.
Great driver but if you fix rockers and paint you have a lot invested.. These suburbans are only going up in value (or the dollar is going down) |

https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/...411616778.html /QUOTE] The more I look at this one the more questions I have. Sure wish the had posted the SPID. Judging by the firewall it was a 504 poly green truck but, was the brown paint in the interior factory? And I really like the green rubber floor mat. Really cool truck! If any one is interested in this one I would be willing to go check it out. |

It’s actually nicer in person. There was a large crack maybe filler on rear bedside but this was maybe 7-8 years ago and I believe it was repainted. It sits in a driveway local to me year round rain and snow
