I'm off to my Mothers 90th birthday, so I don't have much time, don't think she would understand my delay... I'll try to post up in the next couple days, old and new problems arose, but progress continues Gotta love having the edit button back |

Re: PO has me PO'd
Here's some pics. of what I'm into...
Alum. fuel line. Found out that -6 and -8 AN sizes are uni-flare, meaning a 45° flare tool will work. After seeing what happened to AJ's engine, I left a piece of rubber fuel line after the fuel filter that can be clamped off to run the engine out of fuel and work on the carb. Still waiting on the last of the fittings after the fuel filter, it is a 150° bend so the rubber hose doesn't hit the cross member After alot of help, including diagrams, from the electrical guys( thanks VetteVet) I decided to send the harnesses back to M&H for the mods. Still under warranty, should be back in a couple weeks. Got the mechanical side of the water pump plumbed, so that is a plus Interior is still pending, samples arrived, exactly as original. But they included a green color, and that threw a monkey wrench in the works:lol: Clocked my alternator, another problem, since the armature came outta the brushes. Realized there is a hole thru the brush holder and rear half of housing to insert a rod to retain the brushes and allow you to reassemble the armature. DO NOT separate the field windings and rear half of the alternator, bad things will happen! You only have to pivot the front half to get the wire locations correct http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace840.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace839.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace838.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace837.jpg |

Re: PO has me PO'd
hijack...
7-9 Aug www.carsatcarlisle.com Special-K (Tim Hicks) has three spots near the truck shop (california) and usually has a cot in his area. IF I bring the RV then you are more than welcome to crash. I will probably only be there on Friday and Sat (fri night) since I live 45 minutes away and sunday is kinda dead. |

Couldn't stand it any longer! Had to mount up my new fenders...couple shims here and there, also have to file lower fender mount hole, but not a bad fit for OEM to Repop. Nice work Tri-Pro!!! Gotta wait on mounting the grille and core support, need access to engine compartment

I got tired of writing out the 'degree', and my son told me that my computer has something called a character map...so I went lookin'. I found it down in the systems, never bin there before. OK, now I have to find out how to use it! Hence, my post. To find out if I really know how to use it, I had to put it on paper. There is the proof three posts up, and with the use of the 'edit' button I corrected my post several posts up beyond that... So as not to turn this into another useless post here are some pics for you pic. whores out there! All fittings are now aluminum, no corrosive reaction between dissimilar metal. Also, pic of the new timing pointer, waiting on balancer, last of the safety upgrades Last pic is of the 150° -AN6 female push on barb fitting to 3/8" hose At the risk of being called a showoff, here they are http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace867.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace868.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace869.jpg |

Re: PO has me PO'd
a blast, except that mikey took a header on his second ride the next morning. Funny how a yellow slide can stop a suzuki and send a three year old flying over the handle bars!
They had it out again today, I got a killer deal, probably half price or better. Here are some pics... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...highlight=50cc |
