Note mine, but somebody needed a real puller! 5.14 in a C 20? This ratio does not even come up as an option in a C 20, but was a standard ratio for a C 30.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Mated to a 4 speed with granny low? I'd have to agree. It would pull like crazy up to 25 MPH
|
Re: SPID Picture thread?
Driving that would be easy- you could take off in 4th gear. :D

Not a lot of options, but enough to make this a car-like driver. 71k miles and garaged show clearly in the condition of the SPID and glovebox door.

Mine: 1970 GMC. Original color (probably an older repaint), long bed with tool box and factory air.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
What do you do when the Spid is mutilated but the truck is basically stock?
could you build a reasonable Spid based on the contents of the C10 if period correct and intact? Case in point is a 1967 |
Re: SPID Picture thread?
Theoretically yes and you could get pretty close.

Bought these today while picking up some parts (trucks were already gone). Just thought the yellow low option truck with D89 "paint stripe" was cool so out came the wallet. And 4 hours of pulling other parts and I was gone!

Don't see a lot of the "other" two-tone(white-MO-white) around here, other than that, pretty typical stuff.

I am wondering if anyone can tell me why the SPID on my 72 C20 shows three different tires on it. Also, can someone tell me the difference between these three tires. The option numbers are 1R67AB, 1R67AE and 1R67AH with a description of 7.50-16.0-6 PR HIGH.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
PR = Ply Rating, in this case, 6
HIGH = Highway tire |
Re: SPID Picture thread?
Someone mentioned they were front, rear and spare. Are these non-standard tires. I am just curious as to why the tires are showing on my SPID when other SPID's do not show tires.
|
Re: SPID Picture thread?
They are simply Retail Production Offer tires that are considered "better", or at least more expensive than the standard tires. 1/2T trucks come with some puny tires, if one is expecting to do any kind of work with them, imo.

I vote we post a pic of the truck that goes with the SPID. I'd love to see a pic of the previous post's truck.
