Re: My 57 Pro Street
Hey Kim, could you show me some better picture on what the top part of the cowl vent looks like where you welded it to the cab like where the window seal will cover? I'm trying to smooth mine out but I didn't have a cowl vent cover to start.. And I'm having problems

It just buts up to the bottom of the window. I welded the seam there and just ground it down. I'll get another pic when I get a chance to show how it looks welded. Kim |

Thanks Kim! Do you know how far the window seal comes down on that part? I'm just worried about not getting that seam right and it messing up the deal or something |

This is what happens when you stare at something you weren't entirely happy with. I never really liked the tail lights I was going to use but at the time didn't find anything that made me happy.
Out with the old and in with the new. 2" beehive led's set up to use as tail/brake lights. A little fab work and we are on our way. Kim |

Looks great Kim!!
Glad to see some building from you again! |
Re: My 57 Pro Street
Really good work. Wow, the lights are nice and bright!
License mount box looks good too. |

I try and do a little every day. Most of it is just sanding on the cab. Waiting on more epoxy right now. Quote:
They're real bright. The pics don't show the difference between the running and brake light intensity very well. Kim |
Re: My 57 Pro Street
Looking good there Kim, thanks for the update...Jim

Those light are "outa sight" they are begging for a sequential turn signal set up. Strong work! NC

I agree with the sequential turn signals. Not sure how I can make it happen though. Kim |

Re: My 57 Pro Street
damn girl i just checked out 45 pages of your thread, 7 years in the making '' you got patience''
i gotta ask this question you being a chick.... is this all your work or you got a guy helping you?? me myself im soon gonna have a 60' and a 63' in my yard to build one out of, but i dont have the time to really make it nice, i got to get it on the road immediatlly. and then i can customize it, ive had a car for the wife. but she had a mild stroke, and decided she wasnt going to drive no more. which means '' daddy gets a truck'' im really impressed at what youve done to this old ride, allthough i just joined this site, i joined it for a reason... i like and prefer old steel..as im sure each member on here does, sure i could have went and bought me a new truck. but who wants to pop the hood and not see the motor,??? i went to my 60' today and the motor isnt locked down. im sure it's a 235 straight 6. but that time will come when i get it in the yard. i like the very first posts you made on building the bed and using the fender wells, thats my plan eventually, because my 63' has the bed im gonna use but besides the fenders it's shot, im gonna have to invest in some metal cutting tools. i have acess to a bad-ass gas powered lincoln welder '' very old school '' i'll be following this thread for any more post you make. looks like your damn near the end. |

I guess my name can confuse some but I am a guy (my parents must of had a sense of humor). Normal every day life is what keeps it from getting done (raising a teenage boy after getting two other boys into their 30s). Hope to have it on the road some time next year. Kim |
