Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread

thanks. and well, the easiest thing to do and what we did. was we basically just cut out the old one to get to the rivets on top... only thing wrong with this set up is it hits the floor so you are going to need to do some massaging of the floor area above it (can be seen in 1st and 2nd pic) we just used a trans jack to push up the floor to get it in their  i will eventually do something for more clearance, if new body bushings wont fix the touching issue of it hitting the floor

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread

Good call on the body bushings. Mine are definitely original and TOAST. I have the Energy Suspension ones here and ready to go, so I too will be curious if this eliminates the clearance issue or not. Thanks, as always, for the help!!!

By the way, I'm sure you've probably already tightened it already, but in case you haven't, heads-up on the trailing arm cross member bolt still hanging down in your first pic. Only saying since I've overlooked many bolts in years past, and since this one is in storage, didn't want to take the chance of you forgetting about it when you get started back on her. ;)

Bought some more small parts for the burb yesterday.... another tach (in dash mount), a lokar auto column shift linkage, a dimmer switch hippie foot pedal to match my gas pedal, and some 3" to 2.5" tapered exhaust reducers for when i redo the exhaust on it and my other truck

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread

Thanks. And yes its cupped lower arms and 3" drop spindles. It lays the lower control arms on the ground lol. But i have some tubular upper and lower air ride tech arms that will be going on when i get the dropmember that i will probably be pulling the trigger to purchase this week :D
