This is such a cool build. Glad I've been able to follow and get some neat ideas for when I get started on mine. Great work

Well got a little done...tubs in guide coat ...epoxy in am followed shortly by high-build.....finished pass. side marker opener....thought u might want to see the hidden tub flanges...will be drilled for a few bolts when final wood is in place....and last built a "coffin" to send my cowl to Justin at his shop "SCOTT'S HOT RODS" in Calif..Never seen better metal work than they do....and I'm biting the bullet (not cheap) and letting them shave my cowl............jim

Looks like Christmas came late......Marquez lites today.....any one want to guess what the collars are for??? Stole that idea from Belowme51.....Used on rear control arms and lower front arms to attach accuair level control sensors....jim
|
Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Where did you get the collars from and what size are they. I would like to use those on mine.
|
Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Look at # 78 and #82 in belowme51's thread.....gives you part #'s also...I will have to drill and tap these for ball studs..He doesn't show if he finished these but u can see how they will work....They make these in steel if u want to weld a stand-off stud instead of tapping....Mcmaster-carr....great seller...more later.......Jim

I used exhaust clamps for my sensors; similar idea, I have porterbuilt trailing arms so they're round tubing. I just tapped into the flat part of the clamp and away I went! Those collars look much better though!

Christmas again...thanx D.B....one nice product....pic not that great but it is gloss black powdercoated and super slick..I don't know where those streaks came from .....there not in powdercoat...better pic later..jim
|
Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Very nice! The streaks appear to me as a reflection off the tank of your ceiling panels. That is a nice tank!
