Factory steelies from a '92 GMC C2500. Kind of sad I can't use the center caps that came with them, but oh well.

16x7 with 245/70r16.

Man, I need to take some new pics.

Why not use the center caps? Its as easy as changing the lug nuts...

Not sure what size stud the 3/4ton uses but they have many selections:
http://www.ezaccessory.com/Chevy_GMC_Style_s/62.htm

I know that for the 1/2 ton that I did some time back, I used the 1/2"-20 lug nuts to be able to use the black plastic lug nut covers that hold the center cap on the wheel.

The C20 uses a 9/16-18 thread on the lug nut. That site has a part number that would work, and I will have to order a set, but the rears won't work, because they won't fit over the axle caps on the Dana 60.

Thank you for bringing that site to my attention.

If you get dually caps for the rear they should clear the hubs

When I bought my '72 it had OEM 6.5 x 16.5 wheels. I had the 9.75 x 16.5s with 33/12.50s and I think I already showed a picture. I tried to sell it back in '07 and wanted to keep the wheels,so I swapped the tires onto a set of 8.25 turbine-style wheels. Once those tires started checking I painted up a set of '80s GM 6" wheels with mounted 235/75-16s to get me by till I put the 6" lift on to fit the 37/12.50-16.5 Super Swampers mounted on 8.25 x 16.5 steelies . But now I have come to consider maybe not go so big and unload the wheels, tires, and suspension in favor of running a 2-4" lift with a set of 255/75-16s mounted on Accuride 7" steelies that I have. Last week I bolted them on. They fit,but I want it off the tires more (and original springs are tired). I think I've shown the 6" GM wheels on it already (painted white). I had bought these Accurides and tires for my '92 K3500 to get through the winter,so I painted them rallye wheel argent. I kinda like it,especially on an all white truck.

Here are pictures, skipping the aluminum wheels, through the years starting with the factory 6.5 x 16.5s:

Damn I hate it when I see the truck I really want on the thread! Someday I'll have a matching 4x4...

Nice truck, man!

Keep us posted on this. I have been looking into them for my Burb. Only negative thing I have been told was how heavy they are. They looks great!:metal:

Almost ready for the summmer, wheels are 17" from http://www.wheelvintiques.com/ -they are 6-lugs.
There is also an 1" spacer on the rear wheels.

Thanks. Nitto 420S, Front: 245/45/20 Rear: 285/50/20. I have a set of smooth moon caps, but I doubt I am going to put them on. Too nice for this old truck!

Thanks. I didn't weight them, but the rears were VERY heavy. To accommodate the weight, I put vented disc brakes on front, add a new booster and master, plumbed all new brakes lines in front and back, and have gone through the drums in the rear (new shoes/drums/cylinders, etc...).

This thing has the original 307 in it so I am not too concerned with shredding the tires with horsepower and am not too worried about weight. This old girl is for cruising, not racing (Got a 12s TBSS for that)

I can definitely see these wheels not being the best for certain builds. There are aluminum wheels that look like these, but they were 4x the price.
