I agree, this is a nice truck. Reminds me of an old friend.. :whine:
Last pic is what ol Bessy looked like when it showed up (the other side wasn't as pretty), but it does show what minimal elbow grease can accomplish - truck was only painted in spots as needed, rest was buffed out. Truly wish I'd kept this truck, I had well under $5K wrapped up in it, including purchase price. It was a stealth Cheyenne Super because the Custom Camper nameplate superseded the Cheyenne Super badges if ordered together in 71 only.

Nice truck . That last picture of the engine shows a aftermarket air cleaner assembly if I can see thru the blur [NOT unrestored];)

I would have a look at the depth gauge on the side of the road before I attempted that water crossing. Hold your breath!

Or take the Honolulu tunnel to California no traffic

Steeveedee 02-24-2021 09:55 PM

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

Only if it includes the clear tunnel where it passes through the Mariana Trench. :D

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

There’s a tunnel? I hope there’s gas stations. I don’t think the Ol girl could make it one tank—maybe I’ll get a fuel blivet for the bed of the truck. Might overload the weight though. But if it saves me on shipping I’m all for it.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

Just a joke- the Mariana trench isn't between Hawai'i and CONUS, in any event. :D

Bummer. I lived here 15yrs and would have been a tad upset if there was a tunnel and I didn’t know about.

Funny fact. We don’t even have a ferry to travel inter island. We had one for a year then the locals on the other island got upset. The most populate island doesn’t even have a race track. All the other island have one. Oahu’s closed in 2006.

Nice 1968 C20 for sale at the Dream Car Museum in Evansville IN. The museum is closed and they're selling all of their inventory.

You weren't supposed to let that out. It's a secret like the Cape Cod Tunnel out
here. That's why there's no traffic.

Beautiful truck, very nicely done. I think it would look better solid without the white

That 68 K20 on Big Island was mine. I know I'll never find another as nice. COVID made me sell. I was struck with sellers remorse and two days later I bought a 67 C20 near the Snake River WA/Idaho border.. Rust free, original paint 327 4 speed. Red & white with a build sheet. Need to get it to the coast. Hope to get it here soon. Now I dont feel so bad.

There was one of these for sale in Arundle, ME last year. They're like 3/4 scale.
