Derotoreut, would you mind showing me how you built your heater? I've been thinking of moving the heater core inside the cab with waterflow controls but exactly how to do it and maintain some semblance of a glove box has been evading me.

I used the Vintage Air Gen IV system for my truck. It's pretty straight forward, and used by many people on this forum. If you search the forum you should be able to find a lot of info. Here is the link to Vintage Air for our trucks.

Spent my day replacing an alternator and starter. Unfortunately, on my 2002 Tahoe not on my 67 C20. That was $300 that I was wanting to spend on my 67 for a new clutch and other stuff.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Several things over the last dew days. Took off my tailgate, cut out all the rust out. Will repair it with new sheet metal. The maroon paint was almost white with age, so as an expieriment I wet sanded the paint with 600 grit, then buffed it out. Looked so good that today I did my hood and roof, a fender and a door. Buffed out the hood, it turned out amazing. Can't wait to drive it again looking over paint that shines. Will buff out fender, door, and roof tomorrow.
I also picked up my engine block from the machine shop for the truck yesterday. I think the current engine resents it because it runs rough every time that block was in the bed!

Threw tools and materials in it and worked out of it. A special treat for me on a working weekend.

I installed a "toothed" grille from a 59 Chrysler Imperial, cut up the stainless to accommodate the new opening, and relocated the stock turn signals.

That grill is cool. Like it. Might be even better with the later bumper-mount signals...

I guess you haven't been to Western Washington. They get pretty big around here.

Replaced the cab mounts on my '67 GMC all by my lonesome. The front bolts weren't tack welded fortunately - using a wrench inside a pipe for the head and a torque wrench on the nut I was able to torque 'em down to spec!
