Started off the day with a doughnut from voodoo doughnuts I brought back from Portland. Than finished stripping the paint off the bed to get ready for epoxy primer. Need to finish the other side tomorrow.

We got the inside painted today. It was like painting inside your pocket.
Glad that part is done.

MMMMMMM Voodoo doughnuts! I love that place. My mom lives in Portland and she brings me some every time she comes up here. I love the bacon maple bars!

I got what was left of the rear springs off without breaking any bolts! I tried once again to get the trailing arm bolts loose with no luck. Then it started to snow so I packed up and went inside.

Yesterday I picked up a few parts for the truck, namely inner fenders, loaded doors, core support, hood hinges, and battery tray.

I also got the rear bumper ready to install

I painted the headlight bezels and push bar. I put them on to see how they would look.

Last, but not least, I installed my hat holder

Started cutting up the SWB frame into a cab dolly. Took a rear cross member and welded it in the front of the frame just in front of the fire wall to stabilize it.

Ran out of cutting wheels.

Should have a rolling dolly one night this week.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

For the weekend on the '65 LWB Daily Driver:

Got power steering adapter bracket made and new PS box mounted up.
Made a power brake booster bracket and got booster painted and mounted.
Modified brake pedal by cutting the clutch pedal off and welding it to the brake pedal, after cutting the arm off 2" below the booster rod. This kicks the pedal pad about 2 1/2" to the driver's side so not so close to the gas pedal. Looks a little more proportional to me.
Was nice to finally work in the shop two days in a row. Hope to get to exhaust shop by weeks end.

Steering column is out, going to build one out of 3 parts columns

I finally did the switch to an internally regulated altenator. Did the 1984 Trans Am 305 4bbl HO rebuild from O'Really?

So nice to see 14.15 volts across the battery again..... :bann:

Mmmmmmm, Voodoo donuts!! Man, those are good. I got to have six, er, I mean 1 or 2 when I was up there for a trade show last year.
They have an, um, "interesting" menu....

**Got the carb cleaned, rebuilt and back on today. Had just enough time to take it the 5 blocks to Mom & Dad's for a few before it got too dark to drive, I have no lights at the moment**
