Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics
you know most would disagree with me in the age of 20" and 22" wheels, but i still love the old 73-87 6 lug truck rallye's on these trucks.when i was growing up in the late 70's and early 80's they were the in thing at the time.also they were the only nice wheels that would fit because aftermarket 6 lug wheels in that era were hard to find.i think these wheels look like they were made for the 60-66 trucks.just my 2 cents.

I have several sets of the six lug Rallys on my trucks and I really like the way they look, also. In 1985, my Dad bought a brand new 1984 Chevy K1500 swb fleetside truck from the local dealership. He put a set of aftermarket wheels & tires on it and I became the proud owner of his take-offs. Here is a picture of my truck in zinc-chromate, 2-part epoxy aircraft primer in 1986 with the Rallys on it.
I also like the looks of the modern 8 lug Chevy truck wheels I put on my '66 Chevy C20 Custom Camper. |

Here's mine, '64 1/2T. I wanted the original style painted hub caps but even rough ones go for a fortune on ebay so I bought these mid 70's caps at a swap meet for $5 and painted them like the originals. Got $15 in them all done. Doesn't bother me because my trucks far from perfect. Just need taller tires now.

Here's mine with the new rims and tire......
Raceline Polished Renegade 5's ......17 X 8.5 with 4.75 backspacing Michelin 245/65-17's all the way around... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...h/130_4800.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...h/130_4801.jpg The front is definitely getting lowered, probably 2 inches, and I also have lowering shackles for the rear..... |

Our Burb is running 15 x 8 steel wheels with repro caps. Wheels have zero offset. Tires are Big -n- littles, 235/75 rear and 215/75 front.
Considering the 5 lug conversion and a set of American Racing TTO's like Markeb01 has or T70's, I dig those retro styles. |

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics
Radir 3 rib wheels. 15 inch. 7in wide in front, 8in wide in back (I think, I cant remember). I forget the offset.
http://www.billetproof.com/images/al...greartires.jpg 31x10.5 R15 on the rear 205x75 R15 front http://www.billetproof.com/images/al...knewwheels.jpg here it is with 205x75 15's all around, too small for my taste so I went with the large rears above. |
