Well...hell
Today is Wednesday. Sat is my self-imposed deadline.
Not sure I'm gonna make it...

Airride is done. Still needs notch. Sits too high still.
Interior is done except carpet.

Needs: replace front junk tires.
Bed needs bolted down n wood installed
Custom battery box installed
Aluminum fuel cell installed.

Can we do it in 2 days?

We'll see

Haha

I think it can be done. At least get the stuff done to make it drivable for Sat.

When I looked at that first pic in your last post I thought the window in the background was a yellow hazard flasher from a towtruck on top of your truck

Worked on it all day. About stroked out from heat.
Bed is on and bolted down with temp 3/4" plywood.

Still need to mount cell, run fuel line. Mount battery box. All battery wiring is already run.
Then gota make sure I have lights. Forgot about lights. And since we've had the whole truck torn apart, I have no idea what works or doesnt work..:dohh:

We're starting at 9am tomorrow on it so we'll see...

We're going to canfield sat for swapmeet with or without truck. Then to hang at Chili's cruise in Boardman in evening.

Well..
Doesn't look like I'm going to make the 12wk deadline.

I got battery box in. I got the aluminum fuelcell in and lines run. Including super awesome black leather belt hold-downs from Goodwill...

Wiring has done me in.
I gotta get a new brakelite switch. O'reileys has'em for 7 bucks in stock.
And need to run new wires to tail lights.

So maybe....Maybe...I can drive it late tomorrow or Sunday.

We'll see.

And I'm not 100% sold on that cell, but that wood isn't permenant so it can change.
And as for removing stock tank to gain belly room.
I dropped seat 2 1/2" and moved it back almost 2". So I gained some space. Next is swapping a different shorter column in to move wheel closer to dash.

Plus taught my son a valuable lesson about being in a hurry and not paying attention. Nearly got finger pulled under gaurd while using bench grinder.
Got a super sweet blood blister to show for it...;)

Cool battery box. I almost bought a Hire's cooler at Canfield last year to replace the Igloo Playmate I'm using now.

Ok. So my 12 week build deadline turned into 13 weeks.
So we'll go with Bakers Dozen...so I still made it...lol

Anyway, it rolled outta garage under its own power today. 13 weeks to the day.

Still needs alignment. Needs some tuning. And my *&#%@^($#^ compressor keeps blowing fuses. So gotta chase that gremlin.

But, all in all, I call it done. Mostly...

Just as I'm typing this did I remember front bumper is still loose. Needs tightened.

But screw it...its done...;)

Besides, they're never really ever done...

Better pics once its clean etc..

Not bad, not bad at all. See you in Salem. It will have been a long time since we all had one at the same time. Hope no one decides to sell theirs before we can all get together. LOL!!!

Looking good!

My buddy had the same problem in his Sonoma. He ended up switching to a thicker gauge wire to fix it.

Re: Rattle Can Kustom!..A 12 week build..Can we do it..

Im not sure if my compressor is bad, but I do know that the friggin checkvalve in the leader hose is stuck.
I fought it for 2hrs and no go. Great quaility stuff there Viair Co...

Ray, if you have another compressor I could try, hit me up.

Bob, you and I both know Frankie is fighting the demons..
Sell...dont sell, Sell...dont sell..;)

My drivers door wouldnt latch closed, so I jumped on here earlier and found a pick someone posted showing the way the spring attached.
Put it back and it closes great now.

Love this board!:metal:

Hmm..
I got 2ga main pwr wire.
I got 10ga wiring from 80amp constant service solinoid to 50amp toggle...
Not sure how much heavier wire I could go..

I think the stuck checkvalve was causing the issue.
