Re: 62 Burb project in the making.
If they do find something that does not comply, what do they do and what is the next step for you? Is it simple or complicated?
|
Re: 62 Burb project in the making.
That is a complicated question.
If they find something then I have time to fix it then go back. Unless they just cant figure it out as it is the only 62 here. I am going to have to weigh it then see where we are at. I know they came with all the seats but it is a problem with the way they figure out how much it can haul. Have to see what it weighs first. They figure 165lbs per person then times 8 seats with the total vehicle gvwr. |
Re: 62 Burb project in the making.
Passed Vehicle inspection with flying colors! Yea! Now to wait on the tax department to set a value then I will have licence plates and 8 years until the next vehicle inspection!:metal::mm:

Re: 62 Burb project in the making.
Got some of the small stuff done tonight.
Peter rejuvenated the blinker switch on the steering column, and adjusted the cable. pcv connected. Exhaust tip cut off. A little rust touch up painting. Need to do some jetting adjustments on the Quadrajet. A bit to rich. :chevy: |
Re: 62 Burb project in the making.
Is that a one time tax for as long as you own the vehicle? Do you also have to pay other fees such as licensing and road use?

Re: 62 Burb project in the making.
Wow, that is a bit much. Here in my state we pay a 6% sales tax when purchasing a new vehicle and then licensing is around $50-75 a year for licensing something that old. Then the road taxes/fees are a part of the fuel cost.

Nice truck! Where did you get the radiator hoses? I thought I tried stock hoses and they didn't work for me.
|
Re: 62 Burb project in the making.
They were stock hoses off Ebay.
Had to "adjust" the length to get them in the right position. I will try to find the part nr when I get around to it.:mm: |
Re: 62 Burb project in the making.
Did some work on the quadrajet. Checked needle and jet size. Gasket float lever. Big improvement.

Re: 62 Burb project in the making.
Just paid the taxes on it, now to wait for licence plates.
Getting ready to put it in storage soon for the winter. Now to wait for better weather and get out and really drive it. Havent been able to do much but test up and down the road with test plates on. |

I think the other was. Gates 20475 not sure though. |
Re: 62 Burb project in the making.
Yes that is the unfortunate reality for many of us. If you want your truck to stay decently nice, you can't drive it during the winter time. Do they use any sort of deicer on the roads in Denmark?
