Re: Z frames and shaved handles
Nice truck, we have alot of the same mods. I hope to get mine to lay that low. I'm doing body mods first, then while friends are helping with finishing body work, then I'll work on the frame

Re: Z frames and shaved handles
The truck and all your mods look great! I almost forgot it was a long bed:lol:
I just picked up a 63 SWB and when I was looking it over I could not belive how easy the drip rail shave will be. I have done the 67-72's and not alot lines up real well but these trucks it all lines up and leaves you with even better lines. Nice work! Kevin LFD Inc. |
Re: Z frames and shaved handles
yep i got to go save my great grand dads 65 (i think its the same body lines is all i know) short bed fleet sitting in the woods after seeing these
I love that truck been sitting for 20 some years still no boddy rust in it covered by vines and weeds (but no engine or trans) |

Re: Z frames and shaved handles
Awesome subtle bowtie in the box where the gas filler is.... Took me a few minutes to find it... Your truck is awesome. I have one of my own but not as complete as yours.... AWESOME WORK

Re: Z frames and shaved handles
Did your firewall have to be tubbed for the 20s? Were the hood hinges in the way with 20s?
|
Re: Z frames and shaved handles
I haven't had to tub the fire wall at all I don't think the factory
would work that well so i took the easy option thanx:metal: |
Re: Z frames and shaved handles
Nice work, The truck looks great.

Re: Z frames and shaved handles
Did you move your motor forward 3.5 inches?
|
Re: Z frames and shaved handles
pass when i got the 65 she had no motor or motor mounts so we made mounts and made the big block fit from momory i think i've got about 1-2'' from the back of the rocker cover to the firewall hope this helps
