The one to restore is the one that has the absolute best body you can find. Body work is expensive and has to be done correctly. So, whether it has a small or large back window is a personal choice.

The original designer preferred the small back window, but the public preferred the larger one.

The '67-72 body style is as collectible as any '53-56 Ford, and more modern overall, offering all of the amenities that we want.

its weird seeing the date 1-1-2004...

i think anny short stepside is the way to go. Think about it, anny 67-72 you see will most likely be a long bed and a fleetside. Short steps are rare(at least around here). Look today ,theres a ton of 88-on short bed stepside wanna be's. You would have the real thing like I have.

I would say a 67 GMC, I have seen at least a few of most of the other trucks mentioned, but only 1 67 GMC.

I personally love the 69 Chevrolet trucks , because of the grilles mainly . Mine is a two wheel drive , but would love to have a 69 4x4 . But , they are all good looking trucks , jyd:bowtie:

WoW zenish!
You pulled up my thread that was almost 2 years old!
Holy smokes!
Well. I wuess I'll update . . . . . .
My first truck was a bare bones but VERY clean 72 GMC 1/2 ton.
Sold it 2 months ago.
I'm already on my third truck since this original thread started.
My second truck is a 67 C10 Chevy longbed. It's in a million peices in the garage getting ready to be powder coated.
Bought my third truck this last summer.
A 72 Cheyenne Super 4X4 3/4 ton. Got it for 2K!

Sorry zenish. Didnt mean to hijack your question.
I just thought it was cool you pulled up such an old thread of mine!:D

I think that they all look wicked! Most of us are partial to what we own. I personally like the 67-68 GMC, because of the sloped hood and the huge amount of shiny chrome on the front end. I prefer the fleetside beds, and SWB would be the best for me; the more options the better. It would be an added bonus for me to have 4x4. My four speed posi is FUN, but a bit of a pain for driving around the city. Good luck.. and you made a good choice on restoring a 67-72.. you'll love it forever!!! :canada:

If I had to choose just one of these great trucks to restore, it would be a 67 small window, SWB stepside 4WD. When I was a boy (1972), my neighbor used to take us out hunting in his 67 and I just loved that beat up old truck. Then he bought a brand new 72 3/4 ton LWB 4WD. What awesome trucks these are!
