I am interested in the 4 speed tranny. What kinda shape is it in.
I'm 45 minutes south of Waterloo, any chance for pick up?
I also have a radio delete plate with clips, if anyone is interested.

The tranny is in great shape - it drove real good. I'm heading up to MN the weekend of the 10-11th, and I can bring it back down then.

Does that 283 burn oil and is it pulled out of the truck?

The motor is out of the truck.

As far as I know, it did not use any oil. No leaks (parked it on a new concrete driveway) and no smell of oil. I did not put enough miles on it to know how it did over 3000 miles tho.....

paul what have ya got left for doors i'm doin a 71 i think it's a 72 cab if that matters have 72 int any ways also need head liner trim if you have any driver side is broke thanks jim

I also have a tow bar if anybody needs one. I bought it brand new from TSC on 8-10-05 and have used it twice for a total of 10 miles. I'm going to get a trailer instead.

I think it was around $140 new, It can be yours for half of that (plus shipping).

I had $200 on the 71 doors, and $300 on the 72's.

Sounds like they were a good deal, as well!!!

I live in Spencer (south of Okoboji) but travel to Clinton fairly often, to visit my parents. Usually go right through Waterloo on the trip.

Also coulda road tripped to Minnesota quite conveniently. Unfortunately, I was working on my house all summer, and now my road worthy pick up is stashed at the garage I built near their place...

I see I also coulda scored a 454 during the summer, from a guy up this way :whine:

I don't think the Escort, I have up here now, is up to carrying too many truck parts, Dammit!! LOL!!

Oh well, ya know what they say about snoozing...

Paul, what did the steering box come out of? If still available. How close to you get to mankato? I have a buddy coming up for new years and could deliver to me. Any other parts you need to move? Eric

paul i never thought to ask you if you had the other green door panel or any mirrors for them 71 doors i got from you was gonna weld up the mounting holes but before i do i better figure out what i'm going to do for mirrors

I could swing thru Mankato on my way to IA on the 30th. I got the steering box as one of the many 'spare parts' when I bought a truck.

As far as other parts, that front clip is taking up way too much room, and I have 3 wide steel wheels (6 bolt) that I don't need. I will also have a complete 4wd Blazer frame, less the front axle.

I'll sort thru the small stuff (visors, glove box doors, side markers, etc), keep what I need and probably pitch the rest.

farm truck - I do have some turn signals and front side marker light assy's. I'll take some pictures and get them to you to look at.

Shawn - the clip is from the 69 GMC- the LF fender on the clip is in very nice shape, the RF has a ding and the usual cancer from the battery. I am willing to sell just the fender if you are looking for one.
