It seems pretty convenient to me that he posted his new toy and didn't tell us some more details. With a story like his you better believe we are gonna have some questions but with no answers it leads us to come to our own conclusions.

I'm glad your insurance covered the loss for you. It was a cool looking truck that would have been much better off after some more upgrades were made with the axles and such. I hope someone can get ahold of the salvaged vehicle and put some of that to good use under another blazer tub. Nice jeep, definitely a nice show piece.

BTW, it will flip over about as easy as the K5 did.

Got the real story on this I guess this poor guy took his Blazer to a local 4x4 place to get work done and then right before he was going to pick it up the lead mechanic took it for a test drive which gave the given result. ALL that I know is that I would have been pissed beyond belief.

Why wouldn't he have just told us the story up front?:rolleyes:

Sorry, but I'm still not buying it. My mechanic drives my car with more sense than I do...I almost want to raise the flag on this one. J

VT, that is harsh:lol: I guess I was trying to be politically correct. Just seems to wierd, the whole story.New guy comes on here, lots of money, and then tries to make us feel bad by crashing his truck. Can't believe he would do it on purpose, he could've hurt himself.

I've seen stranger things happen is this world tho

Reread his post, said he got 16,000, so maybe it did happen the way he said

I say believable, I doubt he did the work himself (niether would I, if I could pay someone else!) Not all mechanics are intelligent. I've seen worse and in the picts its clear to see he goosed it and spun it around. Big tires and some lift makes top heavy. Heck I wouldn't have settled for less than twice what he got, I didn't wreck it, you did, here's my bill!!

Fix the windshield frame, lose the doors, add a cage and one-ton axles and you'll have a serious 4x4 that you can use, have fun with, not stress about the cosmetics and most importantly still be a cool classic!!
