kp components step notch, 27" tall tire, cut wheel tubs, raised gas tank from a 77 burb, panhard bar from a 66 3/4 ton that i bent to center my diff until i can finish the one i started making, 3" home made lowering blocks, home made temporary shock cross member, and hacked rear springs:lol:

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread

eventually it will be bagged though

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread

your burb is sick. i love that you are that low with a static drop:metal:. how much drop do you think you got out of the "hacked" springs alone?

project 67 sub 11-15-2009 12:04 AM

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread

thanks Twitchin R&C. about 9" drop just with the springs, and im going to guess close to about a 12" drop total with what i got and have done. i can check the measurement from the ground to the wheel well arch in the morning. think i only have a total of 3 coils left in the rear.

project 67 sub 11-16-2009 05:46 AM

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread

Ok so if i remember right, the stock rear ride height is 34" from ground to wheel arch and my measurement is 22.5", so thats a total of a 11.5" drop in the rear. and it can still go lower lol.

How did you hack the rear springs, they are tapered? Just curious how they are hangin on is all. I like it that low...now get the front to match!

the bottom of them is just sitting on the trailing arm and the top is bolted to the frame. thanks, i'll get the front to match eventually, but i need to re do my exhaust and get 3" drop spindles to do that.
