Well,....I'm still trying to keep this project going. I got the 2 rear seats re-done. Decided to go non-factory matching with the black armrests (with the parchment seat covers). Wasn't real happy with how the white, off-white, parchment, etc. colors were matching up between the seat covers, door panels, and seat belts, vinyl paints available, etc. Too may shades of white. Going to finish off the interior with black carpet, black seat belts, and off white door panels and headliner,....hope it all work out and looks decent.

My painter finally got off his a$$ and shot a few coats on the inside. Looks pretty good, a little touch up is needed on the wheel wells and kick panels. Going to have him roll-on the paint over the plywood to get good coverage. With any luck he is bolting and lining up the front end soon and gets this thing done in the next several months.

how do you shift it into 4x4? I don't see the hole for the transfer case shifter in your high hump. Trevor

Haven't cut the hole yet in the high hump. Since I moved the motor and trans around I wanna get this thing home and do some measuring before I cut it.

That's what I thought you were probably doing. The color should pop the burb. Congrats on one step further. Trevor

Thanks for the moral support on paint prison.........still a month or 2 away!

If I remember correctly I purchased the 205 flange from Tom Woods Custom Driveshaft. You can google and find them. It was while ago when I got it. I think a lot of other places sell 'em now.

Thanks! I'm going to try and find one for my Longhorn so I can go with the 1410 or 1430 style U-joints. The puny stockers aren't going to last to long.

I love the build as welll and i was supprised how much the frame and rear crossmember looked just like my 3/4T 4X4 at the tank location, Untill i reread the thread and realised it was a truck frame LOL! It looks aside from the filler location i could have had a 37 gallon tank too. I just got my 18G tank mounted..

Looking at your build left me wondering how your going to route the filler to the tank as it looks like it may be in the fenderwell area? I think the stock tank filler was rearward if i'm not mistaken. is the tank filler in the same location as stock? Just a little curious cause if my 18G tank starts to tell me to run to the gas station too often i'll be wanting a bigger tank.. :o

The tank is in the stock location, but your are right the original filler tube is more rearward copared to this aftermarket tank. I'm hopeful I can snake some gas hose over to mine and keep the stock filler location.

Went by the body shop this morning, and getting ohhh so close. Pretty much down to touching up the nicks around the doors and hood. Outer grill is on permanently now and lined up decent. Glass installer should be by this week to get the fixed pieces in. Hope to have it back in my garage in a couple weeks (man I've been thinking and saying that for quite a while now!).
