Bought a new to me tool to help with the truck. Still better ones out there, but its better than what I had and it was $125 including the full tank.

Heres the one I was borrowing. I'm not sad to see it leave:lol:

After, Should look pretty good with a bit of filler.

Next was the bed.
Old front panel

Bed floor

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...y/P1040331.jpg

Needed to get that junk out of my way
http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...y/P1040336.jpg

These go in next, but I still need a new bed floor half so if someone has one or a patch let me know! On a side note, I'm very impressed with Mar-K's stuff so far.

While I was in there I did some "hammer and dolly" work to the bed side.

I also ordered the bed floor half from Goodmark, should be here in a little over a week.

Thanks guys!

Painted the back of the cab, ground my welds and installed the new front bed panel. Also temporally tacked the front of the bed to the cross member because it doesn't sound like my front bed floor half will be here anytime soon.

Re: '72 Chevy SWB, Project Driver

Thanks everyone.

Did a little dent pounding today followed by changing my mind and going ahead and fixing the speaker grille area in the dash. So apart came the dash.

This panel will need to be replaced, but looks a little better not bent up under the truck.

You can see what was wrong with the speaker grille in this pic. I think I'm going to shave the grille:metal:

Been a while since my last update. Took a vacation to MN for two weeks and just had a lot going on. I got some done today though.

Speaker hole in dash welded up.

Onto the sun roof.

Hopefully I'll have the sunroof fully welded and ground down tomorrow.

Man your making alot better progress than me. I haven't worked on mine in two months. Keep at it, it's looking good!

Re: '72 Chevy SWB, Project Driver

Nice progress. Just be sure to weld slow and switch from one side to the other to keep the heat down....don't want an oil can roof ;)

Looking good. I like your temporary fasteners for holding the patch panels too.

The clips came from Harbor freight. $5.99 for 8 I think. They are a huge help, only wish they had a few more threads to help while trying to line everything up.

Welded a little more on the roof, still not done. Not sure how its going to turn out yet. I've already had some major "oil canning" which I cured with some pie cuts, but I really don't think its possible to get it perfect. I'll worry about re-skining the roof when it comes time for a good paint job....years.

I did get my new radiator in, after the "good" one I bought turned out bad. I bought it off of ebay, $165 to my door. Its a 2 core radiator and when I emailed they said it had one 1" core and one 1/2" core. I think they are wrong, looks like two 1" cores to me:metal: I can only hope to test the abilities of this radiator! Only complaint is the rad cap comes very close to the hold down, clears though.
