Beautiful Truck.... I wouldn't bother with the tires until they wear out, I think it looks perfect the way it sits right now.

Re: original-71 update pics after new shoes and drop
Nice looking ride, are you running drop spindles? Or just the 4.5 & 6 drop coils?
|
Re: original-71 update pics after new shoes and drop
never heard of the 4.5 drop coils, but 6 inch coils yes. iam running 2-1/2 drop spindles and 2 inch coils in the front and 6 inch coils in the rear complete drop kit from E.C.E...Good people.....

Re: original-71 update pics after new shoes and drop
I was wondering with that drop from ECE did you have any rubbing issues with 20X8.5 255/35/20 (F) 20X10 275/35/20 (R)?? Did you do the Drop Crosmember as well and if you did how did that go??
Thanks |

As for rubbing issue... I'm currently running 255/40 and a 295/40 on the same drop kit and as long as the BS on the wheels is setup correctly, you will not have any rubbingn issues. |
Re: original-71 update pics after new shoes and drop
no rubbing issues no c-notch either... Iam happy with the kit..

Re: original-71 update pics after new shoes and drop
That's great to hear! I have been working with ECE guys and they are a great resource to have and are very inmformational. I want to go with their 4/6 drop but they were recommending their Extreme drop crossmember and was wondering if I really need it or not but with your drop if you didn't use it and don' thave issues than I probaly will be find as well.

Re: original-71 update pics after new shoes and drop
Thank you for the info!! I think I'll spend that 209 bucks else where. On a frame off on a limited budget I need all the breaks I can get!!!
Do the exhaust have plenty of clearence after the drop? The big thing was being able to rune the exhuast through there cut outs but I thought I could do that to my Stock crossmember if I really wanted to? What do you guys think? http://www.earlyclassic.com/catalog....y=crossmembersThanks |
Re: original-71 update pics after new shoes and drop
Cut two holes in your stock crossmember, weld in 4" pipe and then run your exhaust through that. Total cost... maybe $40 and some time with a buddy that can weld if you can't. :)
You will also have enough space to run your exhaust under the stock crossmember and still tuck up nicely. I know of about 4 trucks running below the frame and you can hardly see the exhaust unless you kneel on the ground and climb under the truck. Find a good exhaust shop and they will do it right. |
Re: original-71 update pics after new shoes and drop
i waited till after my drop to do the exhaust went with 2-1/2" pipe duals with flowmasters dump right before the axle no problems...
