thank's butternut1972' and litew8.. no i haven't had it dynoed . it's a 355 .with forged eagle rotating assembly.12.5 compression. dart pro 1 heads with 215 runners 208/160 valves.with jessel shaft mounted rockers.comp-solid roller 630 lift . 264/270 dur. at .050...q-fuel 850 cfm. trans-brake with 430 gear. motor guy flowed heads and estamates 550-575 horse . im thinking around 500 maybe. mostly limited street use-intented. with some 1/8 mile track test /n /tune sessions. didn't have a plan. just bought part's on that sounds good .may turn out to be a slug . but i hope it's stout... thank's for the comments..btw litew8 i read your build/project last night . and looking good. keep it up ...johnny

Re: hotrod-c10

Thanks Johnny, garage avail. soon - then things should begin to move more quickly. We've been going over funds and possibilities with my engine build. We're either going with a 355 or 383 depending on the overall costs and whether or not (hecho de mexico 350 goodwrench crate engine) it's 4 or 2 bolt. If 4 (most are I think), I'm seriously considering the 383 (the engine I would have built when I was a kid - in high school).

hey dbmx66 the headers are hooker super-comps . and i have 4 3/4 inch ground clearence now . i don't know what it'll be once the cab and everthing else is back on . iv'e got 2 1/2 drop spindles and 3" drop springs. if i had to do it over i would proably get differnt ones. the coating seems thin and they cost to much but it is what it is for now . here's pic on ground clearence..johnny

Just wanted to know how far you planned on moving the motor back? I really want to move some weight back, I kind of have the same type of build going, but no street tires on the back. How many gallons of fuel will that tank hold, and who built it? Thanks keep on rocking ,LOL your further along than I am.
