Re: Horrible Market For the 67-72 Chevy C10?!
I have to agree that the market as a whole is down. I have had my 68 gmc up for sale for over two months. I have been open to trades and offers and cant seem to get any good offers.
I started at its appraised value and am not at half of the price. I get about one or two emails each week. I send them all the info. to find out that they have half of waht I am asking.. lol. Pictures do sell. When I am looking it it doesnt have a pic, I wont even look at the ad. I like Craigslist for selling becuase it is free, but I may give in and go back to ebay to part ways with this one. The funny thing is I see truck that are rotted out, missing half the parts and completely disassmbled for what I am asking or more. Mine is a complete turn key truck. Yes you can change it up any way you want. but Buying this way saves you the 15k that is invested in this truck and you have no rust ,rot, or stuck bolts to deal with. |

This is what we say in the car business there is an ass for every seat. We sell over 250 vehicles a month in my toyota dealership and about 100 of those are used truck/cars everything sells. just be patient take excellent pictures with good grammar description and for sure someone will pop up.

Re: Horrible Market For the 67-72 Chevy C10?!
I've bought a few vehicles from Craigslist. I'm probably stating the obvious, but I wont even click on an ad that doesn't have pictures. I've wasted too much time driving to look at basketcases that people think "Needs a little TLC."
Also, if I find say a 68 C10, I'll search all the 67-72 C10's around me and compare. Maybe there's a desperate guy out there wanting to unload a really nice truck for cheap and it's affecting the interest in yours. |

The bottom has dropped out of the VW stuff, even cars. Cars that sold for 5-6K in 2006 are now bringing $1500-$2500.
Rare Muscle cars are the only thing that's gone up that i've seen. Quote:

Re: Horrible Market For the 67-72 Chevy C10?!
All i know bad market or not. you better have a 1970 chevelle SS 454 LS6 Numbers matching for you to make a nice profit and sell it for a comfortable price. I just think people assume the truck isnt popular "now" and it will be in the later future. They want all of it cheap. We as Americans like 5 star quality for a 1 star price! lol. I dont see why people want a 70 chevy swb that runs and drives excellent for $1,000. when there just gonna spend over "25k" (as they all claim to have done so) on restoring it. then they'll have it for 6months then try and sell it for $15k. and were back to square one!!!!!

No luck with mine yet, It's a very nice truck. If I bought it, I'm sure someone will buy it eventually.
