Thank you! A lot of it has to do with the fact that I've wanted this specific truck for so long, so I have had it planned for some time, then it's just waiting on the parts to show up for a price.

I also came up with what could be a brilliant and very cheap and easy way to strip paint, as it progresses, I will let you know how well it works. Also dropped the LM7 in today, will post some pics when I have them.

sprayed some paint samples over break, just seeking some opinions, all are made from the same base, just added some flake and pearls, as you can tell from the back photos, pearls didn't turn out, so just the two front colors are pertinent...

If you're thinking that way, Check out a Deuce 3-window built by Sand Springs rod shop. I don't like brown! But, that is the most awesome candy root beer paint I've ever seen. Whole car is just stunning. In the dictionary under Bit**in'! Anyway, check it out for color. Neat project! What's your college and post college plan?

Yeah, that 3 window is pretty sick, the first color isn't really a brown, its more like a dark black cherry, camera didn't pick it up very well. The second is pic I added some more metal flake and it came out this really dark bronze color, looks pretty awesome, but I think it would go better on a muscle car. As for school, currently a senior at Cornell University studying Communications. Looking at some grad schools right now for my possible PhD, trying to figure it out still mostly. Waiting for winter break to come around so that I can get working on the sheet metal. Didn't get anything done over summer due to working an internship in Dallas, as well as working at my old job.

Lovely truck, damn I love the long bed trucks. My late father owned a C20 long bed and that is what got me loving these trucks...... :)

Tell me is it easy to remove the bed from these trucks?

Pretty easy, took it off in about 30 minutes as I had to cut a few rusted bolts even though I let the PB blaster soak for a couple days, kinda heavy but my dad and I were about to lift it ourselves.

fits great if you are going to keep the long bed, a little harder to find the fuel pump, but I got a 31 gallon tank with a pump in tank for my LM7 for under 200, for all new parts

Well, back in Texas after another trying semester. About to start work on chopping the top and shaving the drip rails, after taking a bunch of measurements, I have decided to lay the windshield back 1 3/4", and while I haven't figured out how much that will bring down the front, I think it will be around an inch. The back will stay the same height and get pie-cut to change the angle. I am doing this mostly because I don't like the way the roof runs uphill towards the front, and want a slightly more aggressive and modified look.

thanks true, to be honest though, you don't really need to attend to figure most of it out, check out your local community college for body shop classes, if you can fix those, you can do most of the custom work with a little more practice
