Sounds like you are still looking for a reason to let go of the truck. Personally, I'd do everything possible to keep it in the family. I know there are certain circumstances that force folks to let their pride & joy go. Doesn't sound quite like this truck fits that description for you. Guess the best you can do is follow your heart. If you do get rid of it, just make sure it goes to a good home. Would hate to see you let it go & then regret it though!

Many, many years ago, I had a '76 Chevy truck that I picked for cheap. I drove it on occasion, and I also had thoughts that I wasn't using it enough to justify having it. So, I sold it to a buddy. The NEXT WEEKEND, I was borrowing it back because I had to haul something. I wound up borrowing MY OLD TRUCK all the time because there was always something that I was moving or hauling. Possibly the dumbest automotive deal I've ever done.

I learned my lesson the hard way. Always have a truck in your possession. You will never realize how much you need one until you have one and sell it.

Oh yeah, the '76 was a 1-owner, low mileage truck that had never been abused. It was a very nice truck, and I emphasize was because just a few months after I sold it, my buddy's goofball kid was driving it, not paying attention, and rear-ended a brand new Chevy truck and totalled both vehicles. That broke my heart even more.

Have you thought about just Ebaying the truck to someone that will love it? You obviously don't want it anymore. Then take the $$ and do what you want with it.

Though I agree with everyone here. Getting rid of that truck is something you'll cut your wrists over in 10 years. There's nothing better than an older truck that's easy to work on, easy to GET in, and easy to drive. Power steering takes a few weekends if that's your big problem.

Heck, park the truck for a year. If you still hate it after that then make a decision. It's not costing anything to park.
